Does anyone know why some people take so long to resolve their questions? It almost seems like they've abandoned them, and just left them to their own devices. It drives me nuts, maybe i'm just too controlling. Is there a certain etiquette to follow, and shouldn't everyone follow it so i don't go snakey?

I always make certain that all - ALL of my questions never go sour. If all I get are ridiculous answers i will just withdrawl or delete my question. I would rather spread the points out to the best answer in the very least.

The exception being are the questions I put out there simply for the fun of it all, its healthy to let off a little pressure with laughter.

Cheers Baby!!!

Uhmmm,.... by the way, if you do go back and check your answers, and some of the questions have actually gone rancid (been dumped into the "in voting" bin) it is the perfect opportunity to salvage the situation. You have the choice to chose which answer is best or chose your own answer as the best.
If you're lucky, nobody else will remember to vote on their old answers and you will score an easy 10 points, for a question that was abandoned along the side of the road like so many unwanted puppies and kitties in this country.

About 30% of my own best answers actually were Abandoned Questions that I salvaged. Some of them were in voting for over a month and nobody voted on them!

I like resolving questions quickly. A few questions I let people vote for because I don't have a best answer but 95% of the time I vote within 24 hours. I agree that people should pay more attention to resolving the questions they asked. It is the right courtesy.

I try to resolve my questions .. but once in a while I have forgotten about them or have just been too busy. But the other side is that the community gets to vote. So it's not all bad.

You would think people would resolve their questions, they would recoup three of the five points that they lost from asking the question in the first place. Perhaps they are just angry that no one gave them the answer they were looking for.

it doesn't bother some as much as it does you, and if that is all it takes to drive you nuts then you may have bigger issues than you think. either that or you really need to get a life
