When your hands are full and you approach an outer door and someone offers to open it for you, do you wait for them to open the inner door too? It is so awkward when I am pushing the stroller and this happens. What should I do?

Usually when I'm pushing the stroller someone offers to open the outer door then rushes to open the inner door. The polite thing to do would be to move out of the way of the door. If they choose to open the inner door for you, you can proceed. If they are too much in a rush to open it for you, you've gotten out of their way so that you can turn the stroller around and open the door (a very difficult and time-consuming procedure if I do say so myself!).

It depends. I always try to be independent. I would open the inner door myself unless they said something when I passed them at the outer door.

You can use the handicap button to open the doors for you. I see a lot of people doing that to get strollers thru the doors now.

I would say, "Thank you so much ... do you mind helping me with the inner door, too." If the person is kind enough to help you with the outer door, then I am sure they will be more than happy to help you with the other door, too :).

Well here's hoping that the person that opened the first door would realize that in the interm you didn't sprout a third arm and would open the second one too :) I usually do just that but some people are weird.

You could attempt to open the other door. Then, if they offer to open the next one too, accept graciously. It would be an assumption to think that they will open the next door too, but if they are going to do the first one, they will likely do the next one too. Polite people are nice that way.

Please wait. I'm trying to teach my kids how to help other people out, so it might just be my kid opening the outer door. But then I may need to prompt them to open the next door, so hang in there!
