Why do young men wear their trousers and shorts this way - showing all? I am so confused by it. Is it some kind of language, a message? I'm lost. I've asked a couple young men about it and they tell me they've lost weight recently and can't keep their pants up (yeah, right!) so am inclined to believe there is some hidden message here that isn't open to all us old-timers that don't have a clue.

Can someone shed some light on it?

We get so many hang up calls! And every now and then just plain weird ones. Tonight's happened while I was at school. My hubby got on the phone and the person asked if it was him, by name. He said yes and then asked who he was speaking with and she said her name, like we knew her, and then hung up.

I wish I could say that's the weirdest call we got, but it's not.

So why wouldn't people want to talk to us when they call? Why bother calling?

In my city we have a once a year curbside junk collection where residents can place dicarded objects such as refrigerators, computers, furniture etc outside their houses and it will be taken away for land fill. Would you stop and take an object from one such discard pile if you needed it? For example, a chair or a bicycle in good order. Would you be embarrassed to be seen taking it, even though the owners don't want it?

I live is Southern California and the major grocery chains offer to shop and deliver you groceries to your home for a fee of course. I love the service and I use it often. Should I tip the driver? The driver is usually someone different each time. Please Advise.

According to EmilyPost.com it is. However, my mother would go through my things sometimes, and I did not mind. She would usually go through my stuff while cleaning, or looking for things to mend. Her logic was, "those who have nothing to hide, hide nothing." This was normal for me, and I never hid anything. When in highschool I had many friends whose parents respected their privacy, and yes they hid drugs, condoms, adult entertainment, etc. I know not everyone is like that, but what do you think?

I attend a gym a few train stations away from my school, where I also work as a tutor. Well, after work I usually spend an hour at the gym. Before I left work, I changed into my gym clothes and jogged to the train station about six blocks away, all the while I'm drinking from my new water bottle, which stores the recommended eight cups of water. While I'm on the train I have a sudden urge to do relive myself, the water had done it! I get off the train, gym bag in arm, book back in the other, and run three blocks to the gym. I still have to wait in line to sign in. Then I speed away to the bathroom, and entered the stall, bags and all. I barely sat down when an older woman begins to knock ferociously on the door. She say's, "Change in the locker room! There are people waiting to use the restroom!" She must have looked under the stall, seen my bags, and assumed I was changing. She continued to yell like that until I flushed and came out. Everyone was staring at me! I avoided eye contact.

why not just not use the word altogether so that there wouldnt be any confusion?

wouldn't it be better to stop using such a derogatory term?

and why do hispanic people get to use it?
when did they have the same the same type of historic struggles?

Are you as irritated as I am that people post questions they obviously have not proof-read and some that are nearly undecipherable? What has happened to good grammar and the raw basics of communicating? I feel that if your to post a question it should be thoughtful and researched, and concerned with good grammar and spelling. Your thoughts?

I personally can't stand people who try to rush in the train before they let people inside come out.

Can't stand people who talk so loudly on the handphone.

Hate couple who behave like they are the only one on this earth, tickling each other, the girl talking in that sickening sweet tone while hugging the guy like he's gonna run away. All these in a crowded train, or packed shopping mall, or worse, on an escalator.

Got anything to contribute?

If your parents were doing any of the numerous socially inacceptable things would you make them aware of their bad habits? Bad habits include- rudeness to waiters, interrupting people, etc

Or would it be in bad taste or rude to tell them?

im not trying to be a racist or mean or anything but im wondering what african-american/black/colored (whicheveryou choose) are called.
brown skin so why black?
many of you were born here in america making you an american not african-american. the people that moved from africa to america and are still alive are african americans. hear me out. i was born in america and i consider myself an american. my ancestors are german, irsh, and italian so could i say i want you to call me an italian-german-irish-american because thats what my heritage and ancestory is? well im jsut wondering... What makes advice, good? Do you ask a question simply to find someone that agrees with you or tells you what you want to hear. OR do you weigh the words from an unbiased individual as well? How do you evaluate good advice? Could be for any application really whether it be financial, personal, professional etc etc.
