Dress as if you were going to an important job interview. You want to make a professional impression. Be conservative, rather than flashy.
This is the bride's day. She should be the one getting all the attention.

You should first get to know the family being married if you don't already. Then try to determine what type of wedding they are having. Is there a theme to the wedding? Are the families rich, middle class, average or poor? Where is the wedding taking place? What season of the year will it be? These are many of the questions that need to be answered to really give you good advice on what to wear. What ever you do don't dress better than the bride and groom. Good luck

Call and ask. You surely know the bride and her mother. The time of the day of the wedding is a tip off. After 5pm might mean cocktail dresses, but the rest of the day, a dress, or what you might wear to church is probably fine. Don't wear white or black, unless black is the color of the bridesmaids dresses. Then it is OK. Think monochromatic and simple, match your shoes and purse to the outfit.. Think of your comfort sitting in a pew, and then at the reception, for hours. Think that you might dance, so shoes you can dance in and a dress that moves with you is good. You will be in church, so modest, or wear a jacket to cover up something low cut.

You need to know what kind of wedding it is. If it is a formal wedding, the follow suit by dressing in the same tone as the wedding. If it is a casual, wedding the you would dress accordingly.
You really need to knw because you don't want to show up dressed in a pleasant dress, when the wedding was all formals and tuxedos.

Well, ure an Asian so probably ude have some really rich cultural traditional attire. I suggest u to go with tht..something colourful (but not too tacky) and comfortable. That is one of the things tht differ us from the westerners. I used to attend formal debating functions (dinner parties) and the Asian looks the best and unique with their cheongsam (chinese), sari (indian) or baju kurung (malays) etc..compared to the westerners with their standard black and white outfits (black short dress..and man tuxedo kinda stuffs).
SO go traditional..it rarely ever goes wrong n show off ur Asian colours!!! :)

It really depends on the wedding. If it's a traditional white wedding, wear something formal and in color. DO NOT WEAR WHITE. o_O I can't believe how many times I've seend women wear white to another woman's wedding.. The only person who should wear white is the bride, and maybe the religious figure.

You hate your legs so what some lknee/calf-length skirt and extraordinarily suited? you ought to decide for a floral print on the skirt - possibly a depressing crimson (yet make valuable its effective and present day not previous-lady-ish! - and then a suited with the same crimson and a few gold on it! positioned on heels with the skirt to elongate your legs and upload self assurance. make certain you place on crimson lipstick and blusher too. adult males love women with crimson kissable lips!
