We were wondering if we could find a group of ametuer singers in our city. Does anybody know how to go about it or what words to use (on the web) to find singalong groups? I found a bar but that's really not quite what we're looking for. Also found lots of song lyrics on the web (Old Kentucky home, Beautiful Dreamer, Mockin' Bird Hill, ETC) Now we need some people to sing them with. Any ideas?

Coming from Detroit, this man has no children.

Examination reveals a well-developed male lying in bed with his family in no distress.

Patient was alert and unresponsive.

When she fainted, her eyes rolled around the room.

We will follow her eyes and nose with a foley catheter.

By the time he was admitted, his rapid heart had stopped, and he was feeling better.

Patient has chest pain if she lies on her left side for over a year.

On the second day the knee was better and on the third day it had completely disappeared.

The patient has been depressed ever since she began seeing me in 1983.

The patient is tearful and crying constantly. She also appears to be depressed.

Discharge status: Alive but without permission.

Healthy-appearing decrepit sixty-nine-year-old male, mentally alert but forgetful.

The patient refused an autopsy.

The patient expired on the floor uneventfully.

Patient has left his white blood cells at another hospital.

The patient's past medical history has been remarkably insignificant, with only a forty-pound weight gain in the past three days.

She slipped on the ice and apparently her legs went in separate directions in early December.

The patient had a rash over his truck.

Dictation blunder: lasar radar response (as opposed to vagovagal response).

astray. Perhaps as an adult you don't suffer from this now but most of us have experience with it.
Every time I just leaned a minute way toward doing something I knew better than to do-I'm busted big time everytime.
`My kids would never lie for me and are policemen watching me waiting to pounce.
if I just get tongue tied and misspeak they tell each other and my husband.
Whe I was younger yes very much caught and punished to full extent of their ability to punish.

A Knight Out

To alleviate his boredom after dinner one night, a King decided to
hold a contest of who at the court had the mightiest "weapon".

The first knight stood up and proclaimed that he had the mightiest
weapon...he pulled down his pants and tied a 5 pound weight around
it. The weapon doth rose.

The crowds cheered...the women swooned...the children waved ulti-
colored banners... and the band played appropriate music.

Another knight stood up and yelled that he had the mightiest weapon.
He dropped his pants and tied a 10 pound weight to himself. The
weapon doth rose.

The crowds cheered...the women swooned...the children waved multi-
colored banners...and the band played appropriate music.

After several more knights tried to prove their superiority...the
King finally spoke out. "I have the mightiest weapon of them all!" He
dropped his pants and tied, not a 10 pound, not a 20 pound, not ever
a thirty pound, but a 40 pound weight to himself. The weapon doth
rose.

The crowds cheered...the women swooned...the children waved multi-
colored banners...and the band played "God Save the Queen."

If you ever testify in court, you might wish you could have been as sharp as this policeman.

He was being cross-examined by a defense attorney during a felony trial. The lawyer was trying to undermine the policeman's credibility....

Q: "Officer -- did you see my client fleeing the scene?"

A: "No sir. But I subsequently observed a person matching the description of the offender, running several blocks away."

Q: "Officer -- who provided this description?"

A: "The officer who responded to the scene."

Q: "A fellow officer provided the description of this so-called offender. Do you trust your fellow officers?"

A: "Yes, sir. With my life."

Q: "With your life? Let me ask you this then officer. Do you have a room where you change your clothes in preparation for your daily duties?"

A: "Yes sir, we do!"

Q: "And do you have a locker in the room?"

A: "Yes sir, I do."

Q: "And do you have a lock on your locker?"

A: "Yes sir."

Q: "Now why is it, officer, if you trust your fellow officers with your life, you find it necessary to lock your locker in a room you share with these same officers?"

A: "You see, sir -- we share the building with the court complex, and sometimes lawyers have been known to walk through that room."

The courtroom erupted in laughter, and a prompt recess was called.

Do you purchase clothing, shoes, makeup, craft items? Ebay? What do you most often purchase online?
I order makeup just so I don't have to deal with snobby saleswomen in department stores. I shop for plus size clothing for one of my daughters. But that is about it for me. Oh, and when my husband gives me bookstore gift certificates I will order books. But I do love wandering a bookstore for an hour or two.

We are having much needed rain in Florida. I've actually had a wonderful summer. The best in years due to very little hurricane activity. But now the rain and barometric pressure have finally got the better of me. I've been awake since 2 a.m. with a paralyzing back ache.

Will webe all forced to eat dog and cat food food soon?None of the mainstream press coverage of record-high crude oil prices that I saw last week turned $92.22-a-barrel into a teachable moment. Instead of exhuming archival footage of gas station lines from the '70s, producers might have re-aired the more recent tape of former Harken Energy director George W. Bush strolling hand-in-hand through the Crawford bluebonnets with Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah.
How do explain this or even comprehend this?

I can't understand this mentality. There is no room for BIG BROTHER attitudes on YH. ther are other site where people can try to play BOSS! People are actually allowed to love and care for animals, to love and care for people, and the sick and lonely and the disabled, and the elderly. This, as I have said before, IS not a classrroom, and we certainly don't need HEADMISTRESSES. Please people, I ask those of you who agree to say so. AND IT IS NOT Nazi Germany in 1939 either, OR Russia in the days of the cold war. We have had ENOUGH Hitler's, Napleons and Stalins in the world, and we don't want any more. And not on this site.

For those who still have mortages, as you know after dancing I went into selling, and then 18 years in Real Estate. My advise I would always give to my clients, was to find out on what date the Banks calculated your Interest, on your outstanding mortage amount. It may work differently in The States.Say they calculate your interest on the very last day of the month, and:-

Assuming, you have a mortgate of $40,000.00 (Forty Thousand Dollars) and you pay $2000 a month on your mortgage (I don't know the % of your Mortgage rates in the States). They will calculate your interest on $40,000.00 (Forty Thousand Dollars). BUT, if you can pay that $2000, on the day BEFORE they calculate your Interested Rates, they will then only be calculating interesT on $38,000.00 (Thirty Eight thousand). If you sit down, and calulate this, over you entire Mortgage period, which is usually 20 or 25 years, you will be amazed at how many thousands you have saved at the end of the term. You will have calculate.

This Seniors' section got me to reminiscing about "the old days," and I happened to think about the old types of metal ice trays that had a handle to pull to get the ice out. I remember that you had to run water over the bottom to loosen the ice before you pulled the handle; else the ice would come out in cracks and pieces.

I did a search on the Web and came across these items for sale in ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-OF-6-VINTAGE-METAL-ICE-TRAYS_W0QQitemZ280166366520QQihZ018QQcategoryZ82QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

These are what I remember having. (I won't place a bid, though, because the site says it will cost $10.00 to ship them -- and the opening bid is only $0.99! Duh!)

I had thought about trying to find some, as it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to twist those plastic trays to pop out the ice -- and THEY also seem to break the ice lately. Maybe my water is too hard?

Has anybody seen any vintage ice trays around?
