Wisconsin. Next Saturday night we change them. However, all the so-called "smart clocks" in the house thought it was this past weekend and they went and changed themselves.

In the EU, they did change this past weekend. In the US where I live (as it appears you do as well), the change is the first Sunday in November (Nov. 4 this year). Australia switched to Daylight Savings this past weekend. A number of countries in the Southern Hemisphere made that change even earlier. I think it is silly to go through this every year. If you want to get up earlier (DST), then let's do it all year!

I live in upper New York State, near the Canadian border.
Both USA and Canada will change their clocks next Saturday, November 4th.
The schedule has changed since last March.

California, yes they changed the law, so clocks do not change until next Saturday.
But my Computer and VCR decided it was time to change on it's own. I let the computer do it, so I will be off a hour all week,
but I had to change it back on the VCR or I will not be able to tape any programs for this week.

Bassetfreak. In the UK the clocks went back at the weekend. Some one posted this link recently and it is very useful, so next time you forget, this will help if you add it to favourites x

I thought Daylight Savings Time was instituted to save energy by turning off the lights early. So why do we still have to use DST when more energy is used than ever before? Doesn't make sense to keep changing back and forth. We use more energy on DST than regular hours. Hell some businesses never turn their lights off. Look at the Government?

The clocks don't change -- its the TIME they show that change with DST.
However, I did have an old clock that croaked, and I subsequently used it as a planter in my backyard patio. That would be a good example of a clock changing - no?

just like the dad burn politicians. they always seem to mess things up. still say they are not to bright in wanting to change clocks all the time. there are still only 24 hours in the day and these guys can't get any more hours no matter how hard they try.
