I don't really have commitments to my children as in, they are not living at home and 2 are married. So, I can get on the next plane and go and visit some exotic place, taste their cuisine, see their culture, look at their architecture. There is just one problem That little $. I also want desperately to help my friend in Zimbabwe. I have just bought a whole lot of vegetable seeds to post to them.

I would be leading a drifter's life....no goals, no reasons to do anything..I am not so sure I would handle a life like that well..I would find myself wasting the time I have left. Better to commit to others, help them where you can...it gives us wonderful reasons to hang in there. I cannot imagine getting up in the morning and wondering what I am going to do today...perhaps that is just me...and perhaps that is why I will never retire. Peace and love, Phil

When I didn't have a commitment to anyone else, I found it both a blessing and a curse. It was a blessing that in that I could do whatever I wanted and not have to account to anyone else. It was a curse in that I got real lazy a lot of the time.

Travel
1 Since our children are spread all over the states I'd wander from place to place and stop and visit with them. I'd have to come home because I actually love my home. But I'd take off when it suited me. Fear my husband will never stop working so I'd have to take the trips alone and come home every two weeks or so for a few weeks.

I like having commitments and being part of something bigger than myself. I'd have to find some if I didn't have any.

I would live the exact same way as I am living now. Some people already live selfish like they are the only person who exists!
