how do ppl that have known us all our lives know, but it takes some of us forever to figure it out? what are they seeing that we don't?

I've always wondered this, and believe me this isn't meant to be offensive to anyone in the slightest, so if it is I apologise- I am just cuirous as I have no gay friends of my own.

When you have a gay couple that have sex for the first time, how do they establish who'll be taking which role, or does it vary from time to time?

Thanks for serious answers, and your understanding!

this is my view.

Here is a quote from Pat Robertson "When I said during my presidential bid that I would only bring Christians and Jews into the government, I hit a firestorm. `What do you mean?' the media challenged me. `You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you maintain that those who believe in the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims?' My simple answer is, `Yes, they are.'"
-from Pat Robertson's "The New World Order,"

Here is a man full of hatred against diference pushing a neo con agenda - I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. He's the type of garbage the America pushes as presidents no wonder the rest of the world look at America with contempt.

I know I need to settle but i have just learnt that he has said the 83% of men think about having sex with children. This is crap!!!

Okay, there's this guy... He's a year younger than me and we're pretty close, I'm best friends with his sister blah blah...
Well a few months ago I noticed that the orientation on his myspace said "Not Sure." and thought it was fairly interesting, but didn't ask about it or anything.
He found a girlfriend, and changed his orientation to "Straight." (actually now that I think about it he still left it set to "Not Sure" but eventually changed it).
Well the other day, him and his girlfriend broke up... And about two days later he asked me if I was gay, and I didn't really answer but I sort of hinted that I was bi-ish, and he didn't seem to think anything of it, we still talked like normal.
Well just a few nights ago our conversations on MSN started getting just a tad bit flirtier. I remember, this is stupid, he had to go somewhere for an hour or so and when he got back I asked him if he missed me. He said "Dude I'm not your bf... or am i?"idk what to do,i really like him.advice?

Some have equated homosexuality with ethnicity, that it is something that cannot be changed. Obviously, you cannot change your ethnicity. However, many gays have willingly left the homosexual lifestyle and now lead very successful heterosexual lives.

I fantasize mainly with homosexual or bisexual sex acts, but for some reason I have never found men cute, nor have I ever had feelings for a man and I have never had a crush on a man. I just want sex with them. On the other hand I fall in love with woman and enjoy the great things that go along with those feelings like cuddling a woman, I find them beautiful, want to spend my intimate time with a woman. This has confused the heck out of me and actually is causing me a lot of stress. Help!!!

I need to move out by July but I'm only 17. I have a minimum wage job and I live in NYC. I don't think I can afford anything here, and I'm scared of living in areas like Bushwick or Washington Heights. And I don't think I can even afford Bushwick or Washington Heights. I shouldn't be the only gay teen getting kicked out for being gay right? Where do all the other gay teens go? Do they all end up homeless? I don't even know where to find another gay teen to be my roommate. I've tried looking for roommates on craigslist but most people want someone above their 20s and not a teenager for stability reasons. Someone please tell me what to do I don't want to end up being homeless. I want to stay in NYC because I want to go to college eventually, and the tuition is much cheaper if I live here. Besides, I can't drive, so the subway is the only way I can get around.

It never ceases to amaze me how many stupid questions are asked concerning your lifestyle.

I'm curious. How does it make you feel when you are asked questions that have a connotation you are of some other species, or something? I can't help but feel those questions are demeaning and insulting. No wonder so many of you are reluctant to "come out."

I find that my gay friends who have come out are much happier and comfortable with themselves. I enjoy being in their company because I don't feel the sexual tension thing going on.

I feel that once a person is comfortable with his/her lifestyle, that comfort or happiness should NEVER be taken away with claims of "going to hell," and the like.

How DO you tolerate that thinking? Or DON'T you?

Some of my friends who are BI want me to become BI. I feel confused. I don't know if I want to do it or not. My best friend is BI, & she wants me, & she's DAZZLING gorgeous & exotic-looking. I fantasized about her a few times, but I'm too afraid of what my family might think. I have a gay brother, & the family accepts him, but I'm heterosexual-maybe bicurious, & the family doesn't accept me because they think I'm too nerdy & crazy.

My sex ed professor said that even if you try it with the same sex a couple of times, & you don't like it then that doesn't make you BI or lesbian/gay. He said that even if you've tried it with the same sex & prefer the opposite sex over the same, then you can still be considered heterosexual. Would it be wrong if I tried a same-sex experience JUST ONCE? Would you consider me lesbian or BI, even if I STILL prefer men?

Im 26, a big guy. I have always been. Im also Gay. I find it really hard to meet guys who are attracted to me for me. I did lose a ton of weight a few years ago, and then I couldnt get away from the guys. Now that Im Big again, I want to meet someone who likes me big or small. Why is the Gay Community Hung up on HOT BODIES so much? It Really annoys me. I have lots to offer someone, but no one wants to give me a chance, cause they can't see past my weight. I was in a relationship for 4 years with a guy who didnt care, and He was skinny...why they can't i find that again?

A friend of mine posts here and sometimes I will see his questions and pop over and answer them.

My question is - how does the majority feel about non gays, lesbians being here and answering questions? I can see it going either way and certainly wouldn't have my feelings hurt if you'd rather it be a community made up only of glt.

What do you think has caused you to be gay? Did you choose to become gay? do you think there is something that predetermined your sexuality before birth, like the "gay gene" that scientists have been trying to find for years but have failed so far. Or do you think it is a hormonal/chemical imbalance in the brain...a sort of "brain defect" that some scientists have hypothesized? the question wasn't meant to be rude, so if you don't want to answer, that's fine. i just thought that most homosexuals probably have thought about this at one time or another in their life, right? what do you think makes you different than everyone else? and by different i don't necessarily mean wrong or bad.

I realize that most stereotypes are not true and based upon a small percentage of people. But I was wondering, are gay men really the way they are portrayed on television as wimpy, overtly fashion conscious, attracted to any and all men, etc? And are lesbians really manly, fat, unattractive and anti-male?

Just being curious, as my name implies...

As a monosexual, you would rather be with your one gender of choice.

Assuming that, would you rather be with your gender of choice, a person who is abusive, drug-addicted, and overall a horrible human being...

or would you rather be with the other gender?

Honest (and mature) answers only please...and only people who identify with a monosexual orientation and/or are primarily attracted to one gender.

People growing a hatred towards men that are straight, women treated like objects and raised to be objects, too many things tell us that "men are better".
Why is society becoming more and more anti feminist?

Now, I dont hate gays, but I dont like what quite a few groups have said and written. There was this one group that actually talked about the genocide of women and the creation of a 100% homosexual world, it sickened and horrified me a lot.

And I'm no feminist, i'm a straight guy thats very concerned about this crap.

Anyone who answers this saying something like "Your a dumbf*ck, death to women!!!" is a no good s**tface b*stard

My on/off girlfriend of several yrs is in the midst of making the worst choices & mistake of her life. I'm desperate to figure out how to prevent her from ruining it. She's seeing this new woman with whom she's infatuated. Well, they both are. After only a few days of being together, which was followed a few months infrequent, casual e-mails, they have decided to be in a committed relationship & say they love one another. Well, here's the deal: This is not about jealousy or me trying to win her back, trust me. We've both seen other people freely off and on, remained friends throughout, talking about our other relationships. I've been in a few that were ill conceived, she knew it, and let me know, but I had to find out for myself. Usually took just a few weeks. But now, she is investing more than she can afford to lose already, and it is clearly not love, because she's slept with me at the same time (I wasn't aware) as this woman. It's unlike her to do this, be deceitful, back & forth.
