In mammals the original lifestyle consists of totally seggregated male and female spaces as represented by one of the oldest mammals ----- the elephants.

Mammals have no social pressures to do so. Males and females instinctively prefer that.

It is the same-sex sexual bonds that keep these male-only/ female only spaces strong and livable.

However, some males (around 5%) are exclusively 'heterosexual' (sic) & they need to live with females. Since they can't they become loners (as in elephants).

But, in species (such as horses or lions) where the females become weak (due to weakened same-sex bonds) these 5% males + 7% to 10% others who are predominantly so-called 'heterosexual', control these female spaces as harems.

That's the only heterosexual space that we know of in the natural mammalian setting (including tribal humans).

Males, especially love and need their male-only spaces. Destroying these spaces by heterosexualising them is the bigggest but unacknowledged.......

Dont you think if we could, there wouldnt even be gay people at all because of what being gay looks like to society (in most cases)?

No one CHOOSES to be unaccepted. We choose to accept ourselves since we CANT change. My girlfriends family says prayer can change it LOL and that if you really want, you can make it go away over night. Are you kidding me?

your thoughts,,,,?

I workout at the gym often and I notice this straight dude who always looks at me; I notice it from the corner of my eyes. When I look back at him, he turns away. Then I look in the mirrors and there he is again, looking at me.

He has a girlfriend. I've seen him with her, sharing bottled water, talking, touching, and everything.

What's the deal here?

I wouldn't care if I didn't find him attractive, but he's hot lol.

How do you weather the inevitable philosophical differences?

I am a Christian Straight Male. Why do you men and women feel slighted if I don't agree with you on some things due to my beliefs? I don't insult you. I would defend you from harm. I just feel that when I speak about my belief in God, many of you think that I and many other Christians wish to judge you. Why? I have nothing against anyone. God knows that you are persecuted. I too have been persecuted for just being black. Why can't we debate like adults? You share your views and I mine? Talk to me.

You know how SOME gay guys speak, with that half man, half woman's voice.

When I hear a guy speaking with that voice, can I assume that he's gay? Or is that just another lame stereotype?

i work in a huge corporation and i am good friends with a particular guy. He is married and his wife works at the same company but in a separate department. i realize that a lot of people dont like me. should i say i am the type that people dislike for no reason. i can be a bit reserved and laid back at times. i have become a bit mature as a woman both in body and mind so i have had a lot of men admiring me. people have been saying that we are intimate but believe me we are only good friends i mean the type that you talk to about sports that could be your brother.i have tried for some time now to ignore it but each time i hear a new one i get really sad and embarrased. i am becoming really frustrated.

In my head, I know that being a lesbian isn't bad. But I still struggle with shame because I was taught that lesbians/gays were perverted and sinful. Have you dealt with that? How can I move past it?

My wife and I share a gynecologist. When her name came up on my health plan, I thought, "Wow, it sounds familiar," and then I realized who I'd set up an appointment with, and dang it, she's good. Our closest friends laugh and joke about it.

I just wondered, do other female couples do this? How about you male couples--same urologist? What about same general practitioner, dentist, or other kind of doctor?

And how does it work for you? My wife and I feel like kids comparing notes and getting our story straight before going to the principal's office!
