Lui
you are the first to give me an answer that makes sense, to me.
but, what that still doesnt answer WHAT they like because if a born male likes girls he is straight but he changes his sex to girl and likes girls it would seem that HE is a lesbian when he really is not.

if anyone that readsd this is a transgender person can you answer this for me.

You're talking about 2 different things.

There's gender, and sexuality, the 2 aren't necessarily connected.

If a man is attracted to another man, and he is transsexual and becomes a woman, he'll still be attracted to men.

His same-sex attraction just becomes an opposite-sex attraction when his gender changes.

So changing his gender doesn't change the sex he's attracted to.

A transsexual woman is a woman who was born in a masculine body but who always had a feminine brain, it's a birth defect (sort of intersex condition), so she corrects the error thanks to hormones and surgery. Now, if she likes men, she's str8, if she likes women, she's lesbian (if both, bi).
The same we can say for an ftm (female to male transsexual) who were born in a feminine body, but he's a male, and if he likes men, then he's gay.

P.S. No, look, you ask an explanation and then you act like you know how it is in reality and say we are wrong?
Then don't ask! You don't understand when a transsexual is gay/str8 because you simply don't want to understand.

If someone is transgender, it doesn't necessarily mean they will be attracted to the opposite sex (that is, the opposite of the gender they identify with).

I have had the opportunity to speak with several transgender people. One was a FTM (female to male) whose partner was a man. Two were MTF (male to female) who were only attracted to women. I think you can't make any assumptions about sexual orientation from gender identity.

A transsexual who changed from one sex to the other doesn't necessarily have an effect on his/her orientation.
For example, a boy now becomes a girl. She may like boys and be a straight girl, like girls and be a lesbian, or like both and be a bisexual girl.
It's seperate from their orientation, and after transitioning to their target sex, their orientations are as varied as biological boys and girls.

Some transgender/transexual people like sex they were born, they consider themselves straight. Some transgender/transexual people like the sex that they want to be themselves, they consider themselves gay or lesbian. In a healthy relationship both partners are honest with one another and accept each other.

It means their brain doesn't match their body, no more or less. They go through treatment to make the body match their brain. They may be gay, straight, bi, or asexual, but that's in the same way that someone who's always been male or female would be.
