I just called both my parents into the room, and said it. They gave me hugs because I was crying. They said they already figured I was gay since I never talked about cute boys, but would give cute girls compliments all the time. Sorry, not that juicy, but hey, my life's a little boring.

*squee* Lilo?!?! As in, another Lilo and Stitch fan who's been told she was a lot like Lilo growing up?! Yay!

I haven't told it in a while, so I will again. This will date me, but that's okay. I have been in absolute lust with Sinead O'Connor since I was 13. (33 now.) When I was 17, her song "Nothing Compares 2 U" was massive. My best friend, who I thought was straight (she was certainly good at finding boys) and I were watching with several other female friends, who talked about how pretty Sinead is, what a good singer she is, etc.

My best friend blurted out, "I'd do her, man!"
And being a good friend (and feeling the same way), I high-fived her and said, "Hell, yeah!"

Our friends needed some time to pick their jaws up off the floor. :-)

What do you mean by "juicy ones"?

I was never really "in". At school, I didn't talk about my crushes, but I never pretended to like a boy. And when I started dating, I was just like "meet my grilfriend" and never said anything else about it.

Well, I don't have one of the kind you want, but my younger son is gay and felt he had to announce it to me when he was about 17 because I hadn't noticed. I mean, it wasn't something I wondered about: people are as they are and that's their own business, whether they are ones children or not. I raised him to be kind and honest and to love animals; who he chose to have sex with was not high on my list of priorities.

"Yeah, like we didn't see that one coming. If you want to shock us, son, make some toast without burning down the kitchen."
