Currently, I am starting small.
If I see harassment, I stop it.
If I hear jokes, I speak up.
If people are referring to orientation when it's completely irrelevant (such as "I got cut off by some gay guy at the traffic light"), I question the nessesity of mentioning orientation.
Hopefully, in some small way, I am making a difference.

With a machete.
I'm kidding, I got thinking about the Grindhouse previews.
Anyways, I fight homophobia by being me, well and on here. I plug in all sorts of information, and slowly people's minds open.
I need no leaders to show me how to stand up for myself.
My plan is just to be myself, and get to know people, the more people realize that gay men are just regular people, the less they care. So uhm, the more people I touch in life, the better life gets I guess.

Homophobia is discrimination against someone basically for being (or seemed to be) gay. i'm no longer attentive to this taking place in the LGBT community - this generally comes from exterior. you are going to be pertaining to discrimination on the grounds of race, visual charm or age - whilst it includes finding for an significant different. definite, this does ensue - in spite of the undeniable fact that, you are able to no longer help who they are attracted or no longer interested in. One sort of sexual orientation discrimination which happens interior the LGBT community is biphobia - the discrimination against bisexuals by using a few militant homosexuals.

The same way I have for the last 20 years.
I stand up.
I refuse to lie to make others comfortable.
I speak out.
I vote and encourage others to do so as well.
I expose homophobia wherever I find it.

By continuing to be a productive member of society. Also, being a law-abiding, moral & compassionate human being. Mainly, just being a good person - causing questions in the minds of those that stereotype glbt people.

I remember in college, some people were afraid of me because of the part of the state that I came from. I'm actually a pretty nice guy, and they had no valid reason to fear me.
I think homophobia is somewhat similar. People needn't fear someone because of their sexual orientation. You don't fear me because I'm straight, do you?

I fight homophobia in my own community by being who I am, not lying about my wife and showing people that we are just as normal as everybody else...

You are very judgemental aren't you? Why should we have "leaders" or "plans of action". It's like (god bless them) the African American community, it's not like we are going to fight a war against them. Sorry if I sound harsh but I'm hyped up on Monster.
