if they run around poking little boys with sticks will the LGBT society have a say in this or just blame the moral heterosexual?

Why do people even respond to this type of hate-infused garbage? What compels us to justify this nonsense with any response at all?

Why is it bad? As long as we don't try to persuade everyone to be gay (impossible, since the proclivity is primarily, although not completely, biological), and thus maintain the ability to reproduce as a society, there's nothing wrong with encouraging the idea that sexual behavior is a personal choice not subject to the law. And if some segment wants to continue to promote the belief that it's morally wrong, well, good for them, as long as they don't discriminate against LGBTs--in the same way that they don't, aren't allowed to, and shouldn't discriminate against an adulterer.

On the other hand, society does need to teach children that adults sleeping with children is wrong, because children don't have the capacity to make appropriate sexual choices. So don't make ridiculous connections between homsexuality and pedophila, as the two desires are distinct, and not specifically overlapping. The first has to do with sexual desire, and the second is more often of an issue of power and control.

I don't get where you're getting the poking with sticks thing from, I don't get that.

But as for teaching our kids about GLBT is right. Because it's a spectrum, it's actually GLBTS, with s being straight. Children need to be taught that it's normal, which does make for a better society.

If they're taught that it's wrong, and evil, it only leads to the high suicide rates that we still see to this day.

You should never shame kids into conforming, that's wrong.

Mind you as well, I don't think it should be taught to too young of children, because too early they just don't understand the concept.

But information is power, we need to empower kids. Denying them this is denying them education in life. They'll grow up not ready for the real world we live in, which is far more diverse than you give it credit.

How is teaching children that they should expect to have a say in the sex lives of other people good for society? Are you going to teach them that they also get to decide what perfect strangers should eat and what they should do for a living?

Who's the moral one that has a whole group of people 'poking little boys'?

You know what, I'm not Gay, Lesbian, or Bi, but I have no problem with gay couples at all. I'm even for gay marriage.

They are people, same as you and I. They just follow another path than straights do. The fact is, there is nothing bad about them. I have many gay couples living in my gated community, and they are great neighbors. They keep their property neat, are always friendly and helpful, and one couple even babysits for me.

So if they are good people, and it undermines the teachings of big religion... I see nothing wrong with gay couples.

For starters, some of those children may grow up to be men who want to sleep with men, or women who want to sleep with women, or friends and relatives of LGBT people. Some may have LGBT parents, relatives, or neighbors. In elementary schools, they basically answer questions like, "Why does Ashley have two mothers?" and "Why did those two men at the mall hold hands?" They don't get into sex.

Honey, pedophiles are straight men. Gay men have no interest in little boys. Are you 7 years old....
Teaching children that loving someone of the same sex is not a sin, not an abomination, and not a damn thing to be ashamed of...Will lead to less gay bashing, less hateful people like you, and a lot more boy and girls excepting who they are as a LGBT person...

I don't think the positive lesson being taught is that men sleep together as much as it is to love and accept people for who they are. I think that spreading the acceptance of the gay community it will make it easier for everyone toget along and decrease the amount of hate and negative light shed on the gay community. As for what you children see....i wouldn't be any happier if my son/duaghter was seeing to much PDA between a straight or gay couple.

well you gotta concsider,
the parents are straight, yet their kids are not,
how is that a gay mans fault, who might have never even met said kid?

Kids go around and do crazy sh*t,
Girls poke other kids with sticks, I was a kid once, the sticks, are meant to bully, not to rape
And why are you teaching little kids about sex?
