Im 26, a big guy. I have always been. Im also Gay. I find it really hard to meet guys who are attracted to me for me. I did lose a ton of weight a few years ago, and then I couldnt get away from the guys. Now that Im Big again, I want to meet someone who likes me big or small. Why is the Gay Community Hung up on HOT BODIES so much? It Really annoys me. I have lots to offer someone, but no one wants to give me a chance, cause they can't see past my weight. I was in a relationship for 4 years with a guy who didnt care, and He was skinny...why they can't i find that again?

its not just weight
its any imperfection
i also find it very hard to meet nice guys
especially because i dont like clubs full of bitchy queens
i hate one night stands
that seems to be what most people are after
keep the faith
there are more of the good type out there than you think

I can relate to how you feel. I've struggled with weight my entire life and there is something about being overweight and gay that turns guys off. It actually wasn't until I lost about 55 lbs that guys began to take real notice of me and I became more "popular". I suspect that body insecurity has a lot to do with it. As gay guys we have to face so much negative feedback from society that I guess we cope by trying to look perfect and have that perfection reflected back in who we date. It's just a theory. I hope you find someone; no one deserves to be alone.

Well, all I can say is that in bigger gay areas, there are plenty of "chubby chasers" but even then, they are still seeking a particular type.
I have a friend who looks like an ADONIS, with a third arm (if you know what I mean) (I know that because we go to the same gym, lol) , and he can get plenty of bed partners, but has had no luck with a real BF. It just takes lots of patience and putting yourself into the right situations. Hang in there.

I'm slim gay guy and I just thought what you wrote is kinda cute. Like... big man worrys about small things. I don't know what it is called but it's like small man has big confidence, geeky guy can do sports really well, sporty guy but smart etc
Well I know about body problem because I'm the opposite and can't get fat. But just be yourself. People love people who are confident. I personaly don't care about body type at all except for the extream one. So just take a time and always improve yourself! Good luck my friend!

uhm..nowadays, pple r into fashions n boddies interpretation n the ability to makes one laugh, cry, and wonder. If, you want to find the person that likes u for who u r, then it will be hard becuz ur searching within 1 out of 10,000 person chance. sorry if my statistic is bad. Also, it doesn't matter if u lose ur weight and then look slim, your face and expression also counts....
