It never ceases to amaze me how many stupid questions are asked concerning your lifestyle.

I'm curious. How does it make you feel when you are asked questions that have a connotation you are of some other species, or something? I can't help but feel those questions are demeaning and insulting. No wonder so many of you are reluctant to "come out."

I find that my gay friends who have come out are much happier and comfortable with themselves. I enjoy being in their company because I don't feel the sexual tension thing going on.

I feel that once a person is comfortable with his/her lifestyle, that comfort or happiness should NEVER be taken away with claims of "going to hell," and the like.

How DO you tolerate that thinking? Or DON'T you?

I do my best to ignore it. I know that the biggest reason those people say those things and point fingers is because they don't want to have to take a good hard look at themselves. I sometimes feel sorry for them.

I'm 17 and came out, and before I did I was always looking around corners, thinking that everyone knew and I was paranoid. It is much easier to be out than in, because I am happy with who I am. If anyone wants to make fun of me for that, it just shows how weak they are. Anyone who makes fun of anyone is weak. You pretty much hit it square on the head with that one. So much less tension. But, if I let every god fearing individual get me down with claims of hell, I'd be a very sad individual. The way I see it, live and let live; I am given the freedom to live and think what I want, just as they have the freedom to belive I'm going to hell. Different strokes for different folks.

With the stupid question; the world is filled with stupid people, thus, in every category there will be stupid ignorant questions... the smartest thing to do is just not even click on them. Those people want attention and it is dumb to give them that.

If only more people had a beautiful mind as yours. Yes, it is discouraging at times to hear ignorant comments from those who simply refuse to understand. But as long as we have the kind of support you have shown, I am sure, it makes up for all the hatred we witness around us. As for tolerance, sometimes it is just as simple as laughing it off, at other times, when the insult gets too much, I do give it back. I cannot let somebody ride my back just because they feel like it.

Thank you so much for bringing a smile to my Monday morning. What a pleasant way to start the week. And you have a very good day today :-)

Thank you for supporting the community first of all! If only more people were like you = )

Secondly, I don't tolerate stupidity, period. I can come off as a smartass when someone asks a moronic question, I figure that if you insult and demean the idiot enough, they'll take some initiative and educate themselves.

My very dear Lady, I appreciate your kind words!. Sometimes the stupidity can become overwhelming but it's our pleasure and our pride to help the younger folks run the gauntlet. There are older and much wiser people on here than I and I bow to their wisdom and humbly thank them for it.

As for Hell, my parents never taught us about the wrath of God, only the Love; so when the Bible Thumpers get going, all I see is sad lonely people who fear and hate and who have forgotten that Love.

I can tolerate their thinking although it does make me angry some days because they're intentionally hurting people -- just like a bully -- and I despise bullies.

Thank you again for your kind words. They mean more than you know.

I'm a gay guy, and I will support either Rudy Guiliani and/or Fred Thompson. Democrats make me sick, I'll never vote for one ever again. "Being for gay marriage" does not mitigate all the other ridiculous things they want me to believe. (Re: guns, environment, oil, corporations, gender, race, Europe, war, welfare, socialism, male-bashing, etc etc). Gay marriage is probably the only issue I agree with them on. As I do not vote single-issue, they have lost my vote forever. I love Rudy, and as for Fred T. --- well, anyone who was on "Law and Order" receives automatic sainthood. Love Jack PS: I do like Romney cuz he's hot. And as for the dog incident, I don't care. The dog didn't seem to mind. I guess you can tell a lot about a leader by the way he treats his dogs. But to you same Romney haters: What do you think about the way a President treats his WIFE and DAUGHTER? Does THAT have any bearing? Aparently not, you all seem to think Bill Clinton is just swell. By contrast, Romney is wonderful.

Thanks for being one of the enlightened. I don't even bother to answer the insulting questions....just report them and move on. After awhile it's all redundant. And I have never bought into any "hell". My religion doesn't have one. I know my place and position on this rotating ball we call Earth; not to say I'm unshakable, but mostly the intolerant just make me frustrated and sad. I try to change only my little part of the world and hope for the rest. We are all humans, each deserving of respect. I try very hard not to fall to their level pretty much accomplishing this daily, thank the gods. Blessings.

I don't tolerate it and I will say why I think stuff is wrong, I ask questions that are designed to help me make my point but some don't appreciate being shown how wrong they are. The religious stuff annoys me as I thought Goid was about love not selective bigotry and there's worse views out there. Thanks for being open-minded
