Some of my friends who are BI want me to become BI. I feel confused. I don't know if I want to do it or not. My best friend is BI, & she wants me, & she's DAZZLING gorgeous & exotic-looking. I fantasized about her a few times, but I'm too afraid of what my family might think. I have a gay brother, & the family accepts him, but I'm heterosexual-maybe bicurious, & the family doesn't accept me because they think I'm too nerdy & crazy.

My sex ed professor said that even if you try it with the same sex a couple of times, & you don't like it then that doesn't make you BI or lesbian/gay. He said that even if you've tried it with the same sex & prefer the opposite sex over the same, then you can still be considered heterosexual. Would it be wrong if I tried a same-sex experience JUST ONCE? Would you consider me lesbian or BI, even if I STILL prefer men?

Well, it's not wrong of being bi or lesbian, but it's really wrong if you take lightly about sex. Trying to have sex with someone you don't love a couple of times? It will be a ghost in your memory a lifetime if it donnot work out.

You can't become bi, you either are or aren't, end of story. There is no bicurious, just bisexual, you either are ore aren't. Bicurious was made up by closet bi guys to explain away when they had sex with men.

You cannot do the act with the same gender if you're totally heterosexual, it won't work, unless you use a ton of money and viagra, but even then it's not natural, and lacks lust or love.

Find yourself without experimentation, so you don't feel cheap later on. Don't be slutty just because your friends are.

Oh my dear. It's perfectly all right to try it as many times as you want and need to, to find out your preferences or find out that the body parts don't matter to you--just the feelings involved.

I would consider you bi if you decided you could give your body, heart, and soul to someone of either sex. I would consider you lesbian if you decided to stick to your own sex. I would consider you het if you stuck to the opposite sex.

But my labels are irrelevant. The only thing that should be concerning you is what will make you happy in regard to your intimate relationships with others. And experimentation is the one best way to find out how you feel in that regard.

So go ahead and test the waters. Just remember that the other person's feelings are involved here too--someone may fall in love with you. When that possibility exists, and it always does, you have to proceed into these things with the upmost tender care. And you may fall too, so go into a new relationship with your eyes and heart both wide open.

Your family will learn to accept you too. Maybe they just need more time or maybe once they see you in a committed relationship, they'll be better able to deal. They should treat you as fairly as your brother, tho'. I hope they will. But don't let what they think or what ANYONE thinks be the basis for your life decisions. If your parents are good parents, they will want your happiness first and foremost.

Let all your choices be your own and from your heart and you'll do just fine. Have fun!

You seem curious but you should only do something if YOU want to, not because somebody else wants you too. It's not wrong to try a same-sex experience, that might be the deciding factor for you.

What you have done or tried does not define if your bi, straight or homosexual, it is what your inner deep self desires that defines your sexual orientation...and that is something that comes over time (experience, learning about yourself over time, etc). If you try it you may learn a bit more about yourself, but really gaining certainty as to what your sexual orientation is may take a day or it may take a good period of your life (a few years). Sexual urges can really confuse us for a while.

If you decide you prefer men but would like to experiment, I would consider you heterosexual.

As far as if it is OK or not, I do not think your sex life is anyone elses business - including your family.

It is ok to be bisexual, but people do not become bisexual. You are born with your sexuality. Some people may hide theirs because they are scared of what people think or they are embarrassed, but it is always there deep down.
