It depends on the people involved. Usually one will make moves towards what he wants. For instance, when I go out with someone, I am a bottom and he knows that. So when we start to get busy, that is the role I take. It's not really a role though, That would be indicative of he being the man and me being the woman. That's not the way it works. With a gay relationship, it's more a case of who want to be the giver and who wants to be the taker. We both know we are men and that is what we like. Well much like Jennavee I am also a lesbian and yeah its a case of who gets there first! sometimes there is a submissive and a passive but thats not always the case. Hmm, good question.
All I can say from my own encounters is that with me I kind of knew what I preferred so just went with the flow sort of thing. It's a little difficult to put it into words really to explain it to you but yes it does vary and yet some couples that I know are fixed in what they prefer. I suppose it depends on the people really.

its pretty obvious from the beginning of the realtionship, you can really tell once you kiss cause someone will be the dominant one and tho i've never straight out asked for it i'm never the dominant one, you give out little vibes and signs showing prefernece and it just works, and after the first its always good, the first time is good usually tho
