Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - May 2007

Do you think that Gays and Lesbians choose to be attracted to members of the same sex as they are?

Tall people do not choose to be tall.
Brown haired people do not choose to have brown hair.

But people do choose to commit crimes.
People choose to use drugs.
People choose to be selfish.
People choose to be greedy and seek riches.

I guess my point is that if we are condiering whether or not homosexuality is truly a sin, then we must consider whether or not it is an actual 'lifestyle choice".

I grew up with this guy and he was openly gay. I recently met up with him in a different country (after a few years) and found out that he's married to a woman. He told me not to mention anything about him being gay in the past. I can understand him wanting a fresh start but the problem is that I do not believe he is over his gay tendencies. I'm feeling sorry for the wife!

In the chistian community you are frowned apon for your sexuality so why be part of that religion i mean yes some chrches has a LGBT support group but what about the dirty look from ppl and the harsh words "GOD'S" not like that at least the way i was taught

How would you feel about Christians and Christianity if we were more accepting of your life choices and didn't try to interfer in your decisions....getting married, adoption, etc.? The reason I ask is that I am a Christian and my beliefs are usually stereo-typed with mainstream Christian beliefs even though I have no problem with someone being in a gay or lesbian relationship, getting married, etc.

how sad that everyone's so quick to condemn the young man who asked a question on Homeless. I for one certainly know hes telling the truth, and no hes not looking for a free ride, nor does he own a computer. i know him personally. i felt tremendously sorry for him. i also have tried various organizations to do with 'homelessness' to no avail. and yes he is in a genuine situation. and yes he does work, but finds it difficult as he has nowhere to live. i suggested he asked all of you the question on the net. and what a lot of inhumane people some of myou are out there.

I see this expression getting tossed around a lot, but I'm not sure what it means. Do you have to be gay to be pro-gay? I'm straight and I have no desire to be in a same-sex relationship, but I have no problem with other people having same-sex relationships if that is their choice. Does that mean I am pro-gay, or that I'm just tolerant?

My ex once was in a gay relationship when he was 16. Me & him recently went on a vacation & he wouldn't even touch me & didnt want to sleep together. We have broken up before & we always did but now he doesnt want to even kiss. I know he has been on a gay personal website, right before he broke up with me we broke up bc he said he didnt see forever with me. do you think he is gay/bi. ANd if he was bi wouldn't he want to still be with me sexually, we were together 6 years.
