Here's a person who claimed that those damn gays caused 9-11 events in New York and refused to believe that homosexuals are born the way they are, and even taught people in his schools and ministries that homosexuals aren't born homosexual :\

For a man that is supposed to be as educated as him, he sure was a MORON.

In addition to your 9-11 comments he believed that one of the teletubbies is gay because he carried a purse. He doesn't realize that show was 1) done in England and 2) in the 1970s; when briefcases where a lot smaller. That teletubbie comment is as stupid as calling our founding fathers gay because they wore wigs and white (powder not the clown type) make-up. I can say that because I have a 3 year old that likes that show.

Also, he believed that all Catholics are going to hell because they practiced a impure and evil version of the bible because it has been rewritten so many times. Sorry to bust his bubble but that happened when the printing press was not yet discovered, and Catholics actually do read the same bibles as everybody else (NAV, and King James versions mostly).

So am I glad that he is dead ... hell yes I am glad. One less dumb azz hypocritical bible thumper walking around. If people say we should not be happy when somebody dies then they should not be happy when terrorists are killed. They should not be happy when their family members finally passes after several years of painful cancer or any other incurable disease. Just like in Jerry's death, I am happy when a terrorist is killed and even more so when a family member dies after a long bout of an incurable disease.

I'm never glad at the passing away of someone. Did it make you happy to see on the news that 92 year old man getting beaten by some kid while others just looked on? The 92 year old man even though he was beaten to a pulp still wished good things would be in the future for his attacker. By the way he was also a WWII veteran. Truly this old and weathered veteran has cultivated much virtue throughout his life. Being glad someone is dead cultivates hatred. I hope you will think about it in that way, that the man you are glad is dead, although he might have been offensive towards you, cultivating virtue will do more for your cause than celebrating his death.

One man who happens to be a bigot does not speak for all. I am neither claiming to have like nor agreed with him. I find him similar to those white supremacists that blame Jews for everything and the weather.
How many LGBT's will show their tolerance, progressiveness and love by dancing on his virtual grave?
But I won't spoil their fun.
Have your little celebrations.
Tomorrow you can get back to pretending to tolerate and enjoy diversity when it is obvious the Jerry Falwells and the Rosie Odonnels and Kedar's and Indy's are 2 sides of the same coin.

glad? I'm never glad anyone is dead. relieved? probably.....his "Moral Majority" is neither....a fundamentalist hate group is all they are. someone who shows such hate and disregard for our community, women and anyone who isn't Christian.....is someone who is NO Christian!

Sorry, I'll shed no tears for Jerry....

While I'm not one to speak ill of the dead, I felt no remorse when I heard of Jerry Falwell's death. In fact, as a member of a community he condemned to hell, I actually felt relief! I'm sorry for those close to him who lost someone they loved. But this man fanned the flames of hatred for so many....forming his "Moral Majority" and using his celebrity status to spread his words of hate and intolerance. Attacking women for wanting equal rights and the right to choose what they did with their own bodies. And, for the love of God, attacking an innocent children's show (Teletubbies) for supposedly "promoting" the gay agenda? Please!

Just reading the following, lovely conversation he had with Pat Robertson shortly after the vicious attacks of 9/11.....how can this man claim to be Christian with such a dark, hate-filled soul?

Jerry Falwell blames America for 911
JERRY FALWELL: And I agree totally with you that the Lord has protected us so wonderfully these 225 years. And since 1812, this is the first time that we've been attacked on our soil and by far the worst results. And I fear, as Donald Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense, said yesterday, that this is only the beginning. And with biological warfare available to these monsters - the Husseins, the Bin Ladens, the Arafats - what we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact - God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.

PAT ROBERTSON: Jerry, that's my feeling. I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven't even begun to see what they can do to the major population.

JERRY FALWELL: The ACLU's got to take a lot of blame for this.

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, yes.

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way - all of them who have tried to secularize America - I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."

Hmmmm.....I couln't be more indifferent. I am gay, but I have never heard of him in my life, besides, he can say what he wants, it's his right, as it is ours to be gay. Being glad that he is dead is just going to his level.

He was so influential that I didn't even know he was dead. And I didn't know he was saying that stuff. You had to conciuosly seek out that info. If you're that obsessed with what someone says that you rejoice his death you seriuosly need to get a life.

Hmmm I knew absolutely nothing of him until reading this. He didn't sound like a good person.

So I guess we're better off without him.

(waves hand in agreement)

Can't wait for Pat Robertson, Frederica Phelps, and every other preacher who has led his flock to despise us to soon follow suit.

I'm glad his view point died with him, but I don't think it's right to be happy that someone is dead.
