Is he really worth a second chance?
Don't make yourself miserable in a relationship that isn't working, this guy has the opportunity to make you very happy or very miserable.
I know what it is like when a relationship starts coming apart at the seams. You combine the strong feelings you have with this person - along with the fear that they could be out of your life forever - and you start doing the exact things that will make it worse! Instead of thinking with your head you think with your heart!
Your emotions take over and you are soon making colossal blunders that your relationship (or what's left of it) probably won't survive.
Loving is unconditional, meaning there is no conditions that the person you love loves you back. However, to know if someone loves you all one needs to look at is the actions of that person.
Words are never enough, unless they are backed by actions that match what is being said. Should someone claim they love you then hurt you with their actions then most definetly that would not in my book be considered love.

Can you believe some of the answers you got? Whoa!
It sounds like he doesn't want a commitment, and it sounds like you do. So there is an impass. Perhaps his heart will soften and he will find that there is nothing really better for him than you. That's a senario amongst many.
Do you guys talk at all? What does he say when you ask him about what he is going through? ( In other words, who else is he seeing?)

depending on why you broke up i'm afraid there is nothing you can do to get any person back. it is their choice to make. all you can do is be there for them and be a good friend.

Do you want him, or someone who
loves and respects you?
Do you NEED someone else to make
you complete?
Can you be happy alone?
These are MUCH more important
questions than the "how can I make
him love me" type question you asked.
When you can say you are happy being
single and love yourself, that is when you
are ready to share your life with another.

Despite you thinking of nothing but him, he is obviously thinking of something or someone else since you have broken up.
The person you love should also love you; do not waste time on getting back someone who wasn't as in love with you as you were with them.

Ask him. The worst he can do is say no but you'll be in no worse shape then you are now. Go for it & Good luck

If you still love him, you can ask him. He might be afraid to ask first. You didn't tell us how did you break up with him, that would give us more detail answer.

if he held you all night, maybe he feels the same way and wants you back as well.
