Jehovah's Witnesses are not prudes, and well-understand that sexual desire is inherent in being human. Congregation elders are well-equipped to help any Witness who feels tempted by hetero- or homo-sexual fornication.

Interestingly, Jesus words at Matthew 5:28 would have applied to a female listener as well as to a male.

(Matthew 5:28) Everyone that keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in [the] heart.

As Jesus implied, a person does well to limit his visual temptations, and to resolve not to fantasize about improper behavior. Further, while Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe the bible to teach that masturbation is a serious sin, they do believe that self-stimulation goes contrary to the best interests of a person hoping to remain chaste.

(Colossians 3:5) Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite

Similarly, it may be wise to avoid association with those who insist on discussing topics related to sex and sexuality. Of course, this includes association via immoral programs on television, films, books, magazines, and the internet.

(Ephesians 5:3) Let fornication and uncleanness of every sort or greediness not even be mentioned among you, just as it befits holy people

(1 Corinthians 15:33-34) Bad associations spoil useful habits. Wake up to soberness in a righteous way

Never forget that Jehovah God is interested in the well-being of his servants. Whether a Christian feels inclined toward heterosexual fornication or homosexual fornication, he can expect that God and Christ will give him the strength to overcome these sinful tendencies.

(Psalm 51:10) Create in me even a pure heart, O God, And put within me a new spirit, a steadfast one.

Well as a Witness said "gay" Witness would know, while there may be some predispositions, we all have freewill, and Sex is always a matter of choice.

Controlling ones desires is a fact of life.

Married men must control various impulses they may have to keep from risking their marriages.

Drivers need to obey the law or possibly lose their licenses.

If sexual impulses/activities had to be acted on, or were not up to choice then there would not need to be so many laws, both Biblical and secular, about it.

Case in point, I am an unmarried 22 year old. I do Not have Sex, humorously yesterday my doctor asked me and had a hard time believing me. As a Christian I realize that I may never have sex. It is a fact. The Bible gives the rules for sex within a Christian setting, between Husband and Wife, Period.

It boils down to a matter of what is more important to me/you/whomever. In this instance Bible principles or unBiblical/unChristian sexual activity.

Some may have a tendency to be attracted to the same sex. To be a true Christian or a Jehovah Witness, you would need to fight those tendencies and not act on them. Just as a single Christian who wants to remain chaste, avoids situations or viewing things that would make it hard to resist temptations.

Matt 5:28 "But I say to you that everyone that keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

Col. 3:5 & 6 "Deaden, therefore, your body memebers that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of those things the wrath of God is coming."

Persistantly pray to Jehovah for to help you hate what he hates and to love all his righteous standards. We all have weaknesses that we need to constantly fight. The only sure way to win, is to rely on Jehovah.

Matt 26:41 "Keep on the watch and pray continually, that you may not enter into temptation."

It is hard to believe that a Jehovah's Witness could be gay.
A person who wants to become a Jehovah's Witness must make certain changes in his way of life. If he doesn't have a moral life he won't be qualified to get baptized, thus to become a Jehovah's Witness.

"Strip off the old personality with its practices, and clothe yourselves with the new [personality]." -- Colossians 3:9

"You should put away the old personality which conforms to your former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires; but that you should be made new in the force actuating your mind, and should put on the new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty." -- Ephesians 4:22-24

A person who sins and doesn't repent is disfellowshiped. That can be prevented by staying attached to Jehovah's organisation and studying daily from his Word.

"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." -- 2 Timothy 3:16,17

"What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, ... nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, ... will inherit God’s kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean, but you have been sanctified, but you have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God." -- 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Being gay is a genetic orientation, like many others. Being gay does not mean acting upon those urges. It is clear that it is possible to avoid them, as society expects of other sexual orientations, like pedosexuals, who were declared a sexual orientation in the exact same manner as homosexual. Granted, the U.S. Congress order that the decision be redrawn, but that did not change the fact.

It is a genetic disorder, like all others that will be cured after Armageddon. You may not think you deserve curing, but than I imagine neither do the others.

Consider those whose heterosexual urges drive them to seek out multiple women, rather than staying with just one. All these things will be resolved after Armageddon.

The question to ask yourself is whether you want to live for the now or for eternity.

Now, do you seek a religion who goes against the teachings of Christ, and later of Paul, to keep the congregation clean? Or do you seek a religion, that sets aside the Bible, and is willing to accept any behavior?

with an orientation like that, it would be hard to be a JW. there are a lot of open minded churches that accept and reach out to the gay community. a person should go somewhere where they can get support and talk to other people in their religion that deal with the same struggles.

YEAH! Get out of the Jehovah's witnesses. You might try The Metropolitan Community Church.

KUDO's to the poster just ahead of me. I had a hard time thinking of something funnier to say.

You could think of starting your own fellowship that follows the beliefs of J.W. but is open to all sexual identifications. Good Luck with that. Remember that GOD is LOVE and LOVE is YOU.
