The main purpose in life is not, YES I SAID NOT, to reproduce. Have you ever thought about women that cannot have babies? There are many straight women and men who cannot reproduce. The human population will kill itself with weapons, not sexuality so you should not worry about reproduction. I think of homosexuality of a way to maintain population growth. The human race is killing off other species while our species continues to grow and flourish. The main purpose of life is survival. Reproduction is only an aid to this fact.

If the "main purpose" of humans is to reproduce, then what will become of us when the planet is totally overpopulated, a situation which it is rapidly reaching?
In short, the idea that reproduction by ALL humans is our "main purpose", is itself "screwed up", i.e., irrational.
Creatures that reproduce replicate themselves- that's why creatures that reproduce continue to exist. If they reproduce too much, that's just as destructive as not reproducing at all.
There are many animal groups in which many, sometimes most members DO NOT reproduce, and those members serve the purpose of helping support and maintain the cohesion of their group. Since the members of these animal groups share a common ancestry, it is enough that some of them reproduce, which they could not do without the support of the group as a whole. Humans are no different. The members of society who are not reproductive contribute to the maintaining of their society in other ways.

Being gay doesnt mean youre screwed up in the head, honey... the bible thumping upbringing thats making you still question it IS screwing with you a little.
Let it go. Ask yourself if your God makes mistakes. Theres your answer.

There are many heterosexual people on the planet that cannot reproduce.... is that going against nature? Should they not have sex because they cant produce children?

Just go have some really good sex and wear yourself out so you wont think about it anymore today. Its MOTHER'S DAY! Lets enjoy whats left of it.

Who says the main purpose of life is to reproduce? It all depends on what you believe in and what kind of crap people have been feeding you. I have read about some scientific studies that the mind of a gay human functions differently than a straight human but that doesn't necessarily mean that the mind of the gay human is "screwed up".

Don't worry about it. =)

No, the problem is you're using manmade logic and applying it to nature, instead of studying nature and learning from it.

You can't go in with a conclusion already made when you go to study something, it's just bad science.

Oh and if humans' main purpose is to reproduce, well we wouldn't have old people, because they cannot reproduce. By your logic they also go against nature.

It doesn't go against nature if it did there are animals right now going against nature. Some times when a fetus forms it get more or less of a hormone. Not enough to change our sex, or we are old enough to have or sex confirmed but these hormones could cause different sexual orientation. There are many people that are born both sexes, no mater who they choose half of them is being gay. Yes life is to reproduce but it's also to live. You do not have to reproduce to live, and there are enough reproducing that there is no chance of extinction.

No, you are not screwed up. Im gay and im perfectly normal, i have a great job, im on a fire department and alot of other public safety hobbys. Life is what you make of it. About the reproducing thing, give to a sperm bank, alot of gay people do that.

By no means does being gay mean your any different than any other person in the world.

why does everyone focus so much on "humans must reproduce"???

First of all, there are many straight people who never have kids. Does that mean they are "screwed up in the head" too???

Secondly, with today's over population, we gay folks are doing the earth a favor.

Thirdly, what makes you think a gay person can't make babies??? My boys swim upstream as good as any straight guys.

"Humans main purpose is to reproduce"
Says who my friend? What about those who are straight and decide not to have kids at all. Are they 'screwed in the head'? What about the animal kingdom? They have sex for mating mainly, but they do practice gay sex (Some of them are exclusively gay):

So before bitching around about how 'screwed up' we're, why don't YOU take a good look at yourself, because you're the one who's screwed up.
