Belief really has little to do with the theory of evolution. Its not whether or not you believe in the theory its a matter of accepting or denying the theory. Anyway I know carbon based right hand apes like to through ism and ists at the end of terms. But does it make any sense to call someone an evolutionists? You might as well call them people that believe in Biology. Or something along those lines. I think that word is retarded.

Off the top of my head, entirely in minor or dorian, there's God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, What Child Is This?, Sing We Now of Christmas, Carol of the Bells, O Come O Come Emmanuel... O Holy Night spends time in minor, as does It Came Upon the Midnight clear.

So if Christmas is supposed to be happy, why all the minor?

My theory is that these carols were written by liturgical writers, and that the aeolian and dorian modes simply used to be more popular, especially with the church. This is reinforced by the fact that the carols in major tend to be secular, while the ones in minor are almost always about Christ... but does anyone have a real explanation for this phenomenon?

I have received an email informing that the Danish Artist who
made a caricature of Holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) , has been found dead at his residence alongwith all memebers of his family. It is also claimed that the authorities are hiding this fact.

Since I have no other means to verify, I am requesting the hnourable members of this forum, to confirm or deny this news.

Out of all the things they sell in stores, I wonder why I got so many Bath & Lotion sets this year!!!

My friend invited me to a service at her church and I was shocked to find a notice board filled with updates about their "Save a buddist campaign." IT shocked me, because I am a buddist and here they are telling me that buddism is the wrong way to live and its a "indecent " religion. Confusing because Buddism is not a religion but a philosophy. This campaign is some campaign that a whole network of churches have adopted and they go to countries like Thailand to persuade them to come to the good side.
Buddism believes in peace and Im yet to see a war caused by it, unlike the Christian faith which has killed more people than any other cause.
I would love to hear ppls oppinion,espiecally those who apose buddism.

What is there to do that does not cost much $$$$. I live in Adelaide, Australia.
So far done nothing but surf internet, hired / brought DVD's to watch, slept. My car is too unreliable to go for long country drive and I am trying to not drink booze everyday of holidays.

I have known this kid since 9th grade and now we are both 21 year olds in college. I have always had a crush on him but of course I'm not out so no one knows. One time about 3.5 years ago we were at my house and we were wrestling which turned into naked wrestling (it was just wrestling though, nothing else). A few months later we were visiting our friend and while watching tv we started to spoon as a joke. We were both under the same covers and then he started playing with my nipples. Other people were in the room so no one thought much about it. but ever since then we spoon a lot but still dont hide it. Once, he came to visit me and we were both in my bed drunk and he started sticking his hand down into my underwear trying to rub my butt. I stopped him of course. another time when we were drunk he licked my nipple and then laughed. just last week, since our third roommate left we spooned every night & wrestled in a pretty sexual way. We have the non-profit, charity registered in California. In 2006, we started to share our Blessings. We visited a school with many "poor" children. We brought school supplies, snacks, toys and candies. we are very new ..

In the bible, god ignored the rest of the world (China, Mongolia, Japan, Thailand.....and the list goes on) while focusing only on the Isrealites as they were the chosen ones. God said that the Isrealites are so blessed and blah blah blah..., but what we see today is somewhat different isn't it?

Thank you very much to all who answer this. I want to preface this question by saying that it is not meant to make anyone feel bad. I would only like to guage the views of some people of religion with this question.

Do you think that one who feels that God is sufficient for him/her is superior to one who feels that God is not sufficient for him/her? Why/why not?

My friends and I went to see the new Will Smith movie tonight and we had to get our money back and leave (along with a whole bunch of other people) because there was a group of like 5 black kids that were making too much noise.

The thing is - the manager refused to go up and tell the kids to be quiet or leave... he was utterly terrified of having a confrontation with them.

If the noisey kids had been white, he wouldn't have hesitated and they would have quieted down right away.

I told them to shut up (and they didn't) but it should have been the manager.

What makes someone so scared of black people that they won't even try to do their job whereas black folks are involved?
