Gospel of Mark, Ch. No.16, Verse No.17 and 18 - It says that… ‘There will be signs for true believers and among the signs - In my name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak foreign tongues, new tongues, they shall take up serpents - And if they drink deadly poison, they shall not be harmed - And when they place their hand over the sick, they shall be cured.’ This is a scientific test - In scientific terminology, it is known as the ‘confirmatory test’ for a true Christian believer. In the past 10 years of my life, I have personally interacted with thousands of Christians, including missionaries - I have not come across a single Christian, who has passed this confirmatory test of the Bible. I have not come across a single Christian who took poison - I have not come across any who took poison, and who has not died. And in scientific terminology, this is also called as the ‘falsification test’ That means if a false person tries and does this test… takes poison, he will die...

Where in the gospel of Matthew, Luke, Mark and John did the Lord Jesus Christ himself declared that he have allowed people to bathe in his precious blood and be cleansed of their bloody sins?

The reason I ask is because their are so many religions that threaten your eternal soul, and because you don't believe them... doesn't that bother you. Don't you feel in your heart that they might just be right?

Also, what if the entire religion is a giant test? Maybe the bible is a trap to see how easily you can be duped into following something blindly. If that's the case, aren't you concerned for yourself and the welfare of your soul?

We are off to a New Years Eve dinner party at a hotel. It is 'formal wear', so hubby will wear a suit and tie (not black tie). Will I be ok in a pair of black trousers and a silky top? Don't really want to wear a dress.

A sort of traditionarted between my wife and I that on Christmas day in the morning we would get up, put on the heater in the sitting room, have our showers, then go down and open our presents in the nude! The odd thing bis that we weren'tparticularly "nudists" at any other time!
Unfortunately we are not together at the moment, and I was with my parents on Christmas morning, and it seemed odd opening my presents in my clothes!

Is there anybody else who feels an absolute joy and sense wonder and fulfillment when learning about the true scientific reasons for the how the universe and everything that is in it came to be ?

Do you feel an immense sense of wonder and amazement when you contemplate the sky at night and marvel at all we have learnt about our orgins and existance and all that there is still to know ?

Finally do you think that this joy and wonder is far superior to simply accepting ancient dogmatic myths as a way of explaining the world around us

The Holy Spirit who we talk to told us that there was no Bible before. But why is it that what happened is recorded in the Bible? According to the Holy Spirit, the children found the notes of their parents, pieced these notes together, and collated them to become the Bible.

That is why the Holy Spirit encourages the listeners to list down what He has been teaching so that our friends, our fellowmen, our children, our grandchildren, will find the notes and they become industrious enough to piece our notes together to create a story that really happened in the Bible.

He said that His dream goal for the listeners is high but they don’t have any. He said that a small dream can become big, and when this happens, the listeners would fly. (I do not understand what He meant by this.)

So there you have it. There was no Bible before. The children pieced together the notes of their parents that became the Bible.

What is your opinion on the matter?

Does that mean that we should have the same culture now, behave in those same ways, as described in those books?

For instance, if a book says "Men have beards and women wear skirts." Does that mean that all women of all time need to wear skirts or dresses? Men must never shave their beards? or is that just backdrop for where the story took place?

If the book says "Women are often beaten, and men taken as slaves", is that social commentary or instruction?

----

People often defend their books by saying "that was 2,000 years ago, that's just what their culture was", while others seem to treat those passages as commands as to how they should live their lives.

So how are we to take those passages? As descriptions or guidelines?

Today is a religious holiday in my country and I think I'm gonna be gay anyway. I'm wondering if it's okay. Well I got a new tee-shirt which fits well and I bought oatmeal two days ago cuz the stores are closed up and barricaded against shoppers today, which I knew about yeterday, thus that's why I shopped so I think it's a good day to be gay......

Whatcha think?
