because the end of the world is near....
keep your faith, ....my dear....

2Ti 3:1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.
2Ti 3:2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,
2Ti 3:4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
2Ti 3:5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

may the Lord Jesus bless us....

If you want your opinion to be heard, you must take the risk. And sometimes not a single individual agree with what you said. When you have an opinion you voiced out and it was meet with severe disagreement it's time to reevaluate your point of view, and if you think you're still right maybe everyone else is wrong - then you must stand by your opinion unless or until you get a very strong reason to admit that you are in fact wrong.

Disagreement is just that disagreement and sometimes people who hear a word associated with things they disagree with will immediately come up with a conclusion that they are about to hear something disagreeable to them.

why are people so anti atheist? any time someone posts something on here that is atheist people give it thumbs down.

Perhaps you should have a word with your lot first.

Actually what on earth was the point of posting the xmas story in the first place do you really imagine that everyone here hasn't heard it ad infinitum? It also isn't a question. You're lucky it wasn't reported

Many people are alarmed, offended or frustrated by various aspects of fundamentalist Christianity.

* Church history shows suppression, dogmatism and forged manuscripts.
* Crusaders killed many Jews & Muslims.
* Bible has obvious contradictions. Not infallible after all.
* Bible has been used to support slavery and deny equal rights to women, gays etc.
* Church judges all society by Bible standards.

Everyone thinks his/her beliefs are the best. We can't agree with everyone.

Thumbs down/up actually means that many people have actually read your answer. Many answers go unread. That is a positive way to look at it.

How is posting a story from the Bible a question?

It's also Yahoo management. Yesterday, on Christmas, I posted the question "Who is Jesus Christ and what will you do with him?"

The question was deleted and I received a violation notice and was fined points. The reason stated in my "disciplinary" email was that "this is not a question or an answer"

There is nothing wrong with your beliefs. You believe whatever you need to that helps you get through the day.

Don't worry about it. Jesus said the world would hate us. They seem lately to hate the fact that we have our own reverent version of the pagan winter solstice festival where we changed it to celebrate the birth of Jesus, that is "Christmas". And atheism and humanism is becoming the popular beliefs these days. They bow to no God but themselves. That's why you're getting thumbs down. That was really nice that you posted the Christmas story.
