Thanks for the point about English speaking nations.
Where I live it's very hot, and 90% Buddhist, with a few Musliims floating around.

Christians believe they believe what the Jews is still waiting for and Islam believes Christians have erred and they denied the true words of God. Judaism/Christianism/Islam both are from the same source but the Christians have one book more than the Jews and the muslims have one book more than the Christians.

Hinduism does not care about Buddism as they believe Budda was a manifestion of a hindu god and Buddism does not care about Hinduism because they believe the ultimate achievement should be to attain peace.

because they still have to really understand what's going on psychologically & spiritually among the diversities. the problem is there is prohibition as learning other religions is supposed to be sin.
However, Buddhists and Hindus have absorbed from each others' thoughts and tradition as both are from India but lay people do not really know which came from what - unlike the scholars. This condition is seen among Christians, Muslims and Jews as well.
And also the world has thousands of religions and belief systems - some are already extinct. So no wonder we cannot know every religion in detail. And there is a force that is also misleading the world. But it's up to you to decide to study other religions for widening your scope of knowledge and understanding.
If you think you must have the quality of discernment, than know what to do. Well, I'm well inside the condition of empathy already. Sorry for this.

"Oh, that's because Hinduism and Buddhism are totally not mainstream religion."

That only holds true in English-speaking countries. Which is why there isn't much debate about that here, in this English-language forum.
