your question is a little weird.

Shouldn't it read: If I don't believe the bible is true, does it really matter whether I despise it or not?

But anyway, despising something doesn't alter the worth or value of something. You can despise a diamond but you can still take it to a jeweler and get some money for it.

Despising something does not necessarily change its worth to other people (although you may influence others with your despising).

Yes it does matter if it is true or not. If you despise it and it is not true, then you are wasting your time (in even acknowledging it) but that is all. If you despise it and it is true, then you are wasting your time and your eternity.

god bless

Hi,

If you despise the Bible, why should it make a difference to you whether or not it is true?

yeah....it really matter...pal...,
if you despise the bible then you reject Jesus as Christ and Savior, so.....
Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Joh 5:22 The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,
Joh 5:23 that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

No. It doesn't matter. All religions are manmade and all religions are just discourses - belief systems. Once you master the discourse you may or may not be closer to actually experiencing what you set out to find. However, it doesn't matter where or not you believe in the Bible or any other religious text - what matters is how you conduct yourself and the effect you have on yourself and others.

Put another way - If the Bible is True, does it really matter if you despise it or not.

Not really; you dispise it so there's no point to it (for you).
