JW here.
Humility is the key. If you feel like you are some big star who should be listened to, then you'll get very humiliated.
But if you are humble and recognise that you are just a messenger, a vessel carrying the word of God, you'll not be humiliated.
You will focus, not on how people receive you, but on how best to deliver this weighty message from the Almighty God.
Also, we were warned in advance that not all people will accept the message, some would even react violently. And they are not rejecting us, but Jehovah God.
So, no, I do not get humiliated. I'd call the feeling pity, not humiliation.

i do not go door to door however i have recieved some bad responses. but why feel humiliated? i dont feel humiliated because Jesus said that they do not know better. you tried and it didn't work out it's not the end of the world and even if at that time that person did what they did. you still gave them a message and they have already heard you and with that little word or message God can change them if someone slams a door in my face i just ask God to forgive them and use the little word that they got to change them. there is no reason to feel ridiculouse like Draaaggon said. your doing whats right and you have have been humiliated much worse than what ever the person does to you. and to draggon person what i would like to say to you is not what God wants me to do so i wont say anything.

Being a Hindu, I SHALL never, repeat never, go and knock someone's door, like a salesman.
But being a Hindu, I shall never, never humiliate YOU if you come knocking. I haver humiliated a salesman. But I might question the salesman about terchnical details of his product, even if it is religion.

Being one of Jehovahs Witnesses I have become acustomed to people who feel they have to be nasty or try to humilate just because I am trying to spread the good news about God's kingdom in obedience to Jesus' command found at Matthew 28:19,20.
I dont get humilated because I am comfortable with what I am doing. And
I know that I am making Jehovah's heart glad.
People dont realise that it takes humility to be able to do what we do.
Jesus told us to shake the dust off our feet and go to the next door and thats what we do, when we face rejection and ridicule.
If anything I feel pity for those who instead of listening to the good news feel they have to be nasty or just plain rude and crude.

Lord God, I bless this premises & the people who live in it.

Just as Jesus told us to feel at Matt 10:11-15
When You are entering into the house, greet the household and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you. Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet Truly I say to you It will be more endurable for the land of Sodom & Gomorrah (which doesnt exist anymore) on Judgment Day than for that city.
The message we bring as Witnesses is the Good News of Gods Kingdom Matt 24:14

now I don't go door to door, so maybe I should not answer. I think that we should live good enough that people approach us and ask what our 'secret' is. That is what I try to do.

Ask me how I feel when I am interrupted by some religious type that knocks on my door. Then ask me how irritated I get when I find out it's someone handing out literature about a being that doesn't exist.......*grrrrr*

It used to bother me in the beginning, but now I realize that it's not me they're being rude to......it's actually Jesus and Jehovah that they are slamming the door on.
