Well, obviously some people get offended by this question...
Hmmm, I'm just hearing all this stuff about it, and I just want to hear your thoughts. Don't be rude.

The world will not end.
If a house owner has bad tenants, what does he do.?
Certainly not burn down the house.
No. He just gets rid of the bad tenants.
At Armageddon, just what God will do.
Eliminate the wicked.
He will save the righteous [ read...obedient...]\
(PSALM 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
(PSALM 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
(PSALM 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
(PSALM 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].
(PSALM 72:16) There will come to be plenty of grain on the earth; On the top of the mountains there will be an overflow. His fruit will be as in Leb′a·non, And those who are from the city will blossom like the vegetation of the earth.
This is definitely future. Why would God promise this if he was going to destroy the earth.?
(ISAIAH 45:18) For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.
All the scriptures combined add up to one positive thing.
the world we live on will not be ' burned up'.
The bible sometimes uses the term world as meaning world governments. It is they who will be burned up.

Some Christians during the time of Jesus believe that end of the world would come within their lifetime but it didn't but the religious movement was kept alive and the predicted end of the world time kept getting postponed.
Yes, it's a bunch of crap. Real end of the world is when warring religions get enough firepower to blow each other apart and on the process blow up the whole world as well.

The whole thing about the world ending in 2012, is supposedly based on a Mayan tradition, and is a load of Bull. What really happened: Hundreds of years ago when Mayans created their calendar, they did not write down any years past what we know of as 2012. Therefore, people started believing that the Mayans were predicting the end of the world. That is FALSE.

Dinosaurs came and went but the world remains, Neanderthals also came & went but the world remains. It is unlikely that planet earth will vanish. But there could be a WW3 , however, will it eliminate all people?
But there could be truth if viewed properly. Death is the end of world (for that person). So yes , everyone will experience end of the world at his/her death, which could be anytime anywhere not just 2012.

Could be, but only one referance at all can be judged to be a clue and not to the year but to the time of year. Migratory birds fly over the field of armageddon once a year and are predicted to feast on the dead, but it is quite Ironic that differant groups chose 2012 and anouther 2011 yet still there are prophesies unfulfilled, there must be a Temple of Gdod like in the days of Solemen and it will have an event take place the whole world will witness, and today we have CNN so were close.

Personally, I think it is a bunch of crap because Jesus said no man will know the time or the date, os something like that...but I do think it's creepy that two groups have predicted the end of the world a t 2012. Kinda sucks if true...

I don't think that there is reason to be concerned. Just because the Mayans became extinct before they could issue the 2012 edition of their calendar doesn't mean that the world will slide off its perch.

That's when the aliens will reveal themselves. hehe No really, people think the world will end because that's when the Mayan calendar ends. But Mayans believe that is when mankind will "evolve" whatever that means. I don't really believe the world is going to end though.

It is nonsense. Many such dooms day predictions have gone awry. The universe will go on. The end of human civilisation is not so near, despite the injustice and mutiny within us.
