The self aggrandizing mythology of Jewish origins doesn't stand up to archeological investigation. There is no mention of them in the very detailed history kept by the Egyptians. You'd think a plague including the death of every first born Egyptian and the loss of the entired slave class would deserve a heiroglyph or two somewhere. Nada.
Early heros like Abraham and Moses are completely fictional, and based on Egyptian mythology that was mixed with Semitic and Assyrian.
There likely was a "King David" of some sort....the same as there likely was a "King Arthur" of some sort. The former was more likely the chief of a village, and not the ruler of a great nation. By the time the stories were written down after 100's of years of the oral tradition, the legends had grown beyond reality. Archeologists have shown that Jeruslamen was nothing more than a village in the supposed time of David. Solomon? No evidence of his fabulous reign either...no evidence of any buildings, temples, stables...nothing.
These "hero" stories of a mythical Israelite Golden Age emerged out of their captivity in Babylon.
For religious reasons, particularly the dominance of Christianity and Islam , the plight of the Jews has resonated throughout history. But it has nothing to do with them being a "chosen people" who didn't recognize the Messiah. That is just mythololgy. Ironically, by making themselves the "chosen" people, the Jews ended up hanging a target on their backs from the religions that developed out of theirs.

All that is written on your question in the bible was written by the leaders to cause them to accept the leadership over them, and I would suppose to inspire them to do better. But how could they be called the chosen people if god, the christians god sat back and did nothing while they lost their nation thousands of years ago, and now he still does nothing as Israel could be knocked out at anytime. So for so many years they did not have a country, and the are called the chosen ones? Just rhetoric.

The were blessed to Give the Word of God by example, they screwed that up and became insular this was before The Christ and then When The Christ came they crucified them and as a nation rejected The God of Heaven and Earth,The God of Abraham,Moses and all their forefathers. So as a nation i would say they lost the blessing, what each individual Jew does is between them and God.
And Yes i do believe they still hold a very special place in God's heart and God blesses them as can be but when they reject The Fathers heart there is only so much God can do.
God is Love and Love with Wisdom gives freedom to choose or to reject not everyone who is a Christian is going to be saved either because they have the same misconceptions on Who and What God is and does.

I believe that we see with our Natural eyes and when we do we don't see reality.....Israel Is Blessed beyond measure....but when a Person is far away from God....or in Rebellion we don't see the blessings we see the curses.
Same with the Nation of Israel....blessed but in rebellion. Because of their Rebellion other nations are being blessed now like China, Mongolia, Japan and Thailand......Israel needs to turn to Jesus and as soon as they do they will see the blessing once again.

i understand precisely what your speaking approximately. i'm a Christian yet because of the fact I quite have been 'sucked in', in an attempt to talk, while i became youthful by utilising different 'religions' claiming the certainty, that i'm getting frowned upon each and every as quickly as in awhile as quickly as I question others. yet i do no longer question the Bible as much as I question and learn different peoples viewpoints interior the path of the scriptures. human beings, even some that decision themselves Christians or maybe are nicely meaning, are very judgemental. i think of they get wrapped up interior the incorrect element, attempting to show out others 'incorrect questioning' and as a result they do no longer discover time to learn there very own. a million Thes 5:21,22 21. practice all issues; carry quickly that this is powerful. 22. Abstain from all visual attraction of evil. and then: 2 Chronicles 13:5 learn yourselves, whether ye be interior the religion; practice your individual selves. understand ye no longer your individual selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, different than ye be reprobates? My factor is that if we don't ask questions and learn all the alterations of ideals, how are we to appreciate what's 'reliable' or 'evil'. So we ought to try this for ourselves, no longer others. God will instruction manual you as you advance in Him. carry in there and merely attempt to appreciate that the pains we flow by will practice to make you reliable and clever.......and affected person. : ) reliable question and God Bless

You have to go back a long way in time.
From Adam, and Eve, humanity expanded on the earth. Satan's influence caused most to disobey God. Except Noah and his sons and wives, eight in all, who were preserved alive from the flood.
From them came sons and daughters including Nimrod. Genesis chapter 10.
And finally down the line to Abraham. Genesis 11;26
Abraham was faithful to God and was chopsen to establish the Jewish race.
(GENESIS 11:31) After that Te′rah took A′bram his son and Lot, the son of Ha′ran, his grandson, and Sar′ai his daughter-in-law, the wife of A′bram his son, and they went with him out of Ur of the Chal·de′ans to go to the land of Ca′naan. In time they came to Ha′ran and took up dwelling there.
Lot was saved from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
The Jews remained God's chosen people, even while some of the Jewish kings were being disloyal by worshipping other gods.
And the people were punished for it. Being carted off to slavery in Egypt for 400 years and later for 70 years in Babylon.
When Jesus began his preaching it was only to the Jews.
Later, this was expanded when Peter preached for the first time to the Gentiles, starting with the Roman, Cornelius.
Acts ch. 10.
From that moment on, the Jews were no longer the chosen race and the message of the "Good News" was for everyone in the world. Jews and Gentiles alike.

They were chosen to bring the Messiah into the world, which they did.
Also, they HAVE gone through many trials and hardships, so many that any other people group would have seized to exist, would have been assimilated into the many countries in which the lived. The Israelites not only survived, but kept their culture intact during centuries without a homeland. This was God preserving them, and keeping the promise to keep them intact and return them to the promised land.
You clearly don't know the Bible to ask this question, because everything happening to Israel is exactly what the Bible prophesied would happen.

Exodus 19;4-6 describes Israel as a holy nation,
one set apart by the Lord to be His special people in accomplishing His special mission in the Sinai Covenant,
Israel became God^s vassals,
His minister to meditate His saving grace to all nations.
The purpose of the Book of Exodus is to celebrate God^s gracious deliverance of His chosen people Israel from Egyptian slavery to the freedom of covenant relationship and fellowship with Him.
In forms a bridge between the promises of the Abrahamic Covenant (concerning seed, land, and blessing)
and fulfillment in a' people constituted as a theocratic community through whom God^s redemptive purposes would be achieved.
wait for the time table of God .
Blessed means a high favor of God .
e.g.,
countries want to possess Israel,
but they are failed.

As a Catholic Christian I have lived in Israel, Palestine and Jerusalem and saw that many Jews are blessed. But you are interpreting the eternal One's work and word as expected to be always all fulfilled presently. Jesus said he is the fulfillment of all God's promises to Israel and he created a new possibility of relationship with God that makes his followers also God's chosen ones and receipients of those divine promises.
Israel, not the govt, are those who are faithful reverent Jews. God chose one people to centralize his revelations given progressively through centuries leading to God becoming incarnate and visible in Jesus who commanded his disciples to baptize people of all nations enabling them too to become sons and daughters of God. You too. He sent his apostle Thomas to India where his Catholic Church has been since then. Persia too through another apostle.East Asia later relative to openness. Jesus' perfect sacrifice on the cross was for all. All are redeemed, enabled to have perfect eternal union with God with him in his infinite love if they do what he says to do in his gospels. Read it for yourself and see...

Finish reading your Bible, dear.
Yes the Israelites were blessed for a long time. However, God also told them they would suffer great persecution.
Wow, sounds a lot like today, no?
