I mean the whole thing in a decent translation by a Muslim (e.g Yusuf Ali)- not just gone to an anti-islamic site and cut and pasted mistranslations. If so which translation? I cant fathom how anyone cannot read the whole Quran and not be awed but its incredible beauty even in English

Unless you have sat down and read the whole Quran you have not right to say you know or to criticise Islam

P.S If you cut and paste verses you have made my point for me. Thanking you in advance.

I notice so many want to package a formula, a+b+c=evangelism.
For some it is "The Way of the Master" approach, convincing people of their sin through asking questions like, "Have you ever in your whole life, lied?"
For others it is through giving aid to the needy and hoping that they will respond to Christ's love showing through us.
For others, they assume that people know their sins, and its our job to tell them God loves them anyway.
For others, it is handing out gospel tracts to every person they meet.
Now, all of these methods have a place... there are some who need to convinced of their sin, others who just need to know that God still loves them, there are those who need to see the Body of Christ at work with the poor before they'll believe. And there are some who just simply have never heard a clear presentation and need to see it laid out in print for them.

So why don't we pray and ask God to show us what THAT person in front of us needs, rather than try to follow the same>>>

Today in the mail, my mom received a Christmas card from my EX In-laws addressed to her, and my three children. I live here too.

Do you leave certain members in the household off the card because you don't like them?

Does ignorance over rule ettiquitte?

Have a Happy Holiday!

I never got that. I celebrate Christmas but I could care less if someone said Happy Hanuka or Kwanzaa or something.

I contacted Corporate Gap this am and put in a formal complaint. I advised them to remove their advertisement from YA, especially in the Seniors Section. I informed them that people were up in arms and it was very irrating(sp)? . I also stated that if they didn't shut it off, I personally would never step foot in one of their stores again, that many of the Seniors in the Senior Section had stated the same.
I received a very nice letter from them, thanking me for telling them, that it would be forwarded to the president and advertising.
Is it gone yet?
I hope you don't mind that I spoke for the group as this ad has been irratiting(sp?) the heck out of me and I saw many of you felt the same way

Is it good or bad that I seem to be falling "out" of the Christmas spirit. Don't get me wrong, still put Jesus first, and I have no problem doing the Christmas stuff. And it's nothing bad. I'm just not getting excited or worked up about it lately. I figure I'm happy to spend time with people and stuff anytime, and worship/celebrate Jesus all of the time, so when Christmas day gets here it's not a big deal. It is nice to have off work, and I don' tmind the extra work. I'm just not stressed like everyone else around me. I'm not worried about presents, or whose doing what, or anything. I'm just at peace. It's different. Is that good, bad, wierd, understandable, etc.?

Can you also list your religious affiliation in your answer?

I'm curious.

... what would your reaction be like? Something like: God just appears in front of you and does something undeniably God-like.

(If you're an atheist, just use your imagination ^_^)

My reaction would be either:

- Oh yeah! There is a God!

or

- Oh crap... There is a God! (I'm in sooo much trouble...)

You can sing it to the melody of Away in a manger. This is called, "Away into Glory"

Away into glory, many crowns for His head.
The glorious Lord Jesus will soon raise the dead,
The trumpet will sound, the saint will arise,
The shout of god's Angel, with Jesus we'll fly.

I give you my heart Lord, I ask you today,
Anoint me with power ith your words to say.
you love the dear children, you ask them to come,
To drink from your waters, you cherish each one.

The Battle is nearing, the great day at hand,
The devil defeated, heard never again.
I thank you Lord Jesus, fpr your precious blood,
Your Spirit now in me, I'm filled with your love.

Come all who are weary to Jesus today,
He loves you forever and with Him you'll stay.
The crowns He has waiting to place on your head,
And a title to a mansion, Just as our Lord said...

I have never been there so I don't know what the restaraunt is like. My fiance and I will be taking our two children, Mariah and Sydnie. What would be the proper attire for them?

Oh, btw - Mariah is a Jack Russell Terrier and Sydnie is a Siamese cat.

why when a straight person is answering a question on a gay issue. He or she will start off with "i'm straight but.. It seems to me that even in this day and age ppl still think that you can catch "gay disease". so it's best if they put the ground rules down.

oh by the way "i'm straight." (don't want no hurmo's around me lol)
