.."what have I done for others, not thinking of what is in it for me?"

tell me what do you think in these video teaching, for whatever which encourages people to help each other, to care for others, and to respect nature...those teachings should be encouraged and supported.

With only half the world's people able to get clean drinking water each day, with half the world's people burning wood to cook their daily meals (contributing to deforestation/desertification, green house emissions, soil erosion and loss of arable land), with some societies discounting/ignoring half the brain power of their nation based on gender or ethnicity, when avarice and greed assign monetary value to decide to take action or not, when 5% of the world's population consumes 25% of the world's resources, and when so many societies voice nice sounding ideas that few of their members put into practice....it is time for all people of the world to step back, reflect on what they say and do each day and ask...."what have I done for others to help make this world a better place?"...."what have I done for others, not thinking of what is in it for me?"

We all live on planet Earth...the only place in our solar system we can call home. The only place that can support this precious gift we call life. There is no emergency escape when the natural systems crash and fail. We are all in this together.

Is there a particular song that touches your heart every time you hear it?

Does it make you think of Jesus?

Does it remind you of a happy or sad time in your life?

I love so many, it's hard to choose, but some of my faves are "Do You Hear What I Hear?," "O Holy Night," "The Christmas Song" (it's not about our Lord, but it makes me think of a nice family gathering in a log cabin), "Let It Snow" (just a fun song), and so many others.

This is a question for personal knowledge, since I am not a Christian and have no vested interest in the responses (though I do prefer they be true).

I understand some people (ignorantly) object to to the term Xmas, not realizing it dates back to ancient manuscripts, since the Latin for Jesus' title (Christos) begins with a X. But why don't more people object to the suffix "mas" in Christmas? To use that suffix is to acknowledge the Roman Catholic ownership of that holiday. See, "mas" is short for "mass", as in the Eucharistic celebration in the Latin liturgical rites of the Roman Catholic Church (and some other Catholic and High Church Lutheran worship). Should Protestants in general use another name for the holiday.

I know a lot of people believe strongly in evolution, but I also know a lot of people don't. I believe God created Adam and Eve. I don't see our resemblence to monkies. Anyone agree?

Science: the study of nature, the universe, the physical world.
God: not nature, the universe, or the physical world.
So why do atheists want to disprove God with science? Clearly the two are not compatible. Or do you think that science is the be-all end-all, and there is no power other than it?

Whilst the great MacTealc has been away from the croft - and left me and the girls from the Wee Hoose all alone AGAIN - I have heard word from a laddy going by the name of CHIPMONK that he would be happy to escort me to Brigadoon no less!

Now either this bonny laddy is brave beyond words - or has a death wish - or has not the knowledge of MacTealc - but I have to tell ye - I am tempted! Would it not serve MacTealc well that I should not be sitting by the peat fire wating for him to stride in and demand his oats?

Should I take the young laddy up on his offer and make off for a day to remember with him - or should I stay and wait for MacTealc to remember where he last used his caber?

And ta those of you who know not what a caber is - it is long stiff pole that can be used in so many different ways - MacTealc is indeed a master in its use!

But I believe that young Chipmonk is a quick learner and I could even pass on some of MacTealc's best known moves!

Since we have sent so many to defend against athiestic and secular dictator despots, what religious affiliation has sent more to combat and die for others to have the right say what they want and rail against the same religion that defends their rights? We have fought wars against Communists, Marxists, Socialists, dictators, and despots. Is it the Christians?

If non-Christians get Christmas Day off, shouldn't Christians get Jewish and Muslim religious holidays off? I mean, it only seems fair.

I'd have to say Islam, some of them would kill us, but all Atheists do is sit on their butts and scream "There is no God! There is no God because science doesn't say there is one!!" Your thoughts?

The hair over the face, those hideous tight jeans that narrow down to the ankles, the stupid gangster white shirt+ low jeans combo, boxers showing, Abercombie/Hollister gear, and wearing clothes that make them walking billboards...

Don't teenagers have their own mind anymore? Why do they conform to these irritating trends?

Oh... and don't get me started on those uggs.
