Today two religious (I shall not say which religion) people came to my door, after a short chat I asked him a question, which he couldn’t answer.
They said they would return after looking into to it.

The question was, why was Adam and Eve allowed to live?
The bible has many stories where God destroyed wicked nations and cities because of disobedience and other reasons.

Why did he not kill Adam and Eve and start again?
Also why did he not then kill Satan and stop sin, then create a new man and woman?

After all sin did start started with the Original Sin, after which people did die of disease and hunger etc etc.

Couldn’t all this not have been prevented?

If this had been done it seems to me a world without sin would be perfect.

She signed up for Bishop Howe Dumami's group study, where the good bishop would shout out to her tumor, "The Power of Christ compels you, be gone!". I don't know why it didn't work. Maybe he didn't shout loud enough. Any ideas?

There are two forms of Agnosticism; 1) Weak – we do not currently have the means and/or information to say whether or not a deity exists, and 2) Strong – we can not in principle ever say whether or not a deity exists.

Atheism also comes in two forms; 1) Strong – there is no deity, and 2) Weak – I lack a belief in a deity, but make no absolute claim (scientific Atheism falls here).

Agnostics of any form have no belief in a deity, and thus Agnosticism is a form of Weak Atheism. So, why do so many here seem to insist that Agnostics are more reasonable than Atheists? They are Atheists!

My friend has been with a Muslim man for a year, and he is the nicest person I have ever met.

I would love to talk to him about his faith but I'm worried about how he will be. I was raised a Catholic but I don't practise now.

To any Muslims out there - do you think I should talk to him about his faith or is there a chance I would cause an upset?

I was reading Zechariah 8 this morning about the girls and boys playing in the streets and very very old people feeling safe to sit in the streets of the streets of Jerusalem.
Do you think this a historical text or a prophecy about our future life?

I don't. I am often just interested in hearing the opinions of others. I don't give a thumbs down if someone disagrees with mine. If you see a thumbs down to an answer that I have asked it was given by someone else.

has anyone successfully converted an agnostic or an atheist? How seriously do you take His directive to spread His word? I myself am an agnostic who continuously searches for answers, and have had many discussions with devout Christians. Although I find some of their beliefs dubious, I cant help but admire the Mormons for their mission of spreading their faith. Giving 2 years of their life (is it 2 years?) of their life to go on a mission, is a sacrifice that speaks to their devotion to their faith.

I'm curious to find out what archaeological evidence has been proven??

This was posted by Father K,

Hardly. The pagan Arabs worshipped the Moon-god Allah by praying toward Mecca several times a day; making a pilgrimage to Mecca; running around the temple of the Moon-god called the Kabah; kissing the black stone; killing an animal in sacrifice to the Moon-god; throwing stones at the devil; fasting for the month which begins and ends with the crescent moon; giving alms to the poor, etc.

The modern Muslim's claim that Allah is the God of the Bible and that Islam arose from the religion of the prophets and apostles **is refuted by solid, overwhelming archeological evidence.**

Islam is nothing more than a revival of the ancient Moon-god cult. It has taken the symbols, the rites, the ceremonies, and even the name of its god from the ancient pagan religion of the Moon-god. As such, it is sheer idolatry and must be rejected by all those who follow the Torah and Gospel
