(as I am essentially trying to poll people, the first one to tell me what 84 is in base -17 gets the points.)

It's 4g.
I'm Christian, went up through Calculus in college. But math isn't my strong suit.

I am Roman Catholic. I have a minor in Mathematics. 84 i am assuming from base 10 to base 17 would be 4g. Another way of writing this would be 4*17 + 16 which of course is equal to 84. A question for you, What does knowing math and being Religious have anything to do with each other?

49? This is an interesting question - I would like to know how this pans out. I am on my own, religiously - sort of New Age, I guess - I believe in the creative power of the Universe, the Law of Attraction, etc.

I do a lot of math. I do Kakuro and Killer Suduko puzzles for a past time (3-4 big Kakuro a day, lately). I am a graphic designer, low level database designer who handles the books, bills and billing for our computer consulting firm. Lots of low level computations, I guess.

How far in math did I go in school? I thoroughly enjoyed algebra but lost the way in Geometry, due to a very dry and demanding teacher, I think. Switched to computers for math classes.

Peace!

I know plenty, but as I'm on vacation and I use this site for relaxation I'll skip doing the math.

I can do basic math, trig, finite math, geometry, various types of algebra, calculus & differential equations.

**I tend not to answer chemistry questions either because that would be like bringing my job home with me.

I am mormon and went up to calculus, but calculus was about 12 years ago so I couldnt tell you.

Isnt it sad to think about how much you once knew and no longer know, lol. I use to be able to do these huge complicated problems or take a chemical formula and break it down in a few minutes and now, forget about it.

I am an Atheist and math was always difficult but I studied hard and learned. A quick analysis of your question assured me of two (2) points.

"84 is in base -17"

Hmm....that's worded a bit awkwardly.

Or maybe my Calculus is just rusty?
