I think there is a fair bit of difference, theologically speaking, between Anglicanism and Catholicism....

To those saying 'no big difference' - There is indeed a big difference between the theology of Anglicanism and Catholicism: here's some issues: -papal infallibility, -transubstantiation versus consubstantiation -celibacy of the priesthood -ordination of women. And that's just off the top of my head.

He was Anglican. Apparently it wasn't quite loony enough for him.

A person of Tony Blair's stature should have undersood that Jesus does not belong to a particular group. An Anglican to a Catholic does not bring in a new skin of different faith.
What a shame!

Mr Blair was an Anglican before he converted to Catholicism.

No information about what he did not like about his old faith is available. Although his wife and four children are Catholics.

There's not much difference between Anglicanism and Catholicism. I think it has something to do with his family already being Catholic.

Anglican, and I don't know. There's not a ton of difference. I heard that his wife and kids had already been practicing Catholics for a time. It doesn't necessarily mean he disliked the Anglican church.
