Is it good or bad that I seem to be falling "out" of the Christmas spirit. Don't get me wrong, still put Jesus first, and I have no problem doing the Christmas stuff. And it's nothing bad. I'm just not getting excited or worked up about it lately. I figure I'm happy to spend time with people and stuff anytime, and worship/celebrate Jesus all of the time, so when Christmas day gets here it's not a big deal. It is nice to have off work, and I don' tmind the extra work. I'm just not stressed like everyone else around me. I'm not worried about presents, or whose doing what, or anything. I'm just at peace. It's different. Is that good, bad, wierd, understandable, etc.?

I think it is great. Enjoy what you are supposed to enojoy about this season and forget all the drama that goes into it. People say it is the "merriest" time of the year and yet, everyone is running around all stressed out hoping to get everything done in time and are in worse moods than normal. Having peace is an awesome thing. I'm at the same place as you this year. Stuff just really doesn't matter to me like it used to.

From what you describe, you ARE in the Spirit all yr round. I identify with that. I have a pace I move at all year round. It is, for me, really, Christmas all yr round.

I do what I am moved to do each year. Some yrs I'm gung-ho tree lights, etc. Some yrs, like this one, I am just laid back.

It's all good, it's all love, and it's all peace. For me and for you and I'll bet for some others too.

The frenetic energy zooming around from the group that overexerts itself annually is sometimes a little too much for me to keep pace with, so I step back from those type of crowd situations.

Balance is what it is about for me. I don't know if you are 'falling out of the Christmas spirit', it doesn't sound like it. It just sounds like you are NOT part of the Christmas FRENZY. There's bunches of us out there. You are not alone anymore. Rejoice, and be glad you are in a 'stable environment' (get it, the manger - a 'stable' environment) (little smile ok?) in your mind and heart. Many desire that.

I'm grateful for your Q because I was beginning to think along those same lines, at the same time I was telling myself what I just shared here. So I just had to grin when I came across your Q.
And so we are at peace together. :)

I feel exactly the same. you know i usually couldnt wait until christmas, the whole year would be a timer ready for christmas. but this year i really cant care for it like i use to. the presents were just like everything and the christmas lights and now im like this doesnt feel like christmas. its good though, it just shows that you can actually care about the finer things in christmas then just presents. by the way merry christmas.
