why when a straight person is answering a question on a gay issue. He or she will start off with "i'm straight but.. It seems to me that even in this day and age ppl still think that you can catch "gay disease". so it's best if they put the ground rules down.

oh by the way "i'm straight." (don't want no hurmo's around me lol)

I do that all the time lol......... its because what the first person said and also the fact i just want to say i'm straight (No harm done). When people ask questions they might want a reliable answer from a gay person. Putting down straight shows that it isn't but i put an answer anyway x

I think you can't let this information out of an answer if you are really straight, because sometimes it is important to know if the one who is asking is an insider or an outsider to the LGBT community, in order to forgive a number of faux pas that may be commited out of ignorance if you are an outsider.

Well straight people state the fact that they are straight, because we want people to know that there are plenty of straight people that will fight to the death for the gay community!

It is obvious to me why all people should tell the truth about themselves. And I don't see anything wrong with someone saying "I'm straight, but ....."

For example, .......... I'm gay, but .... I interpret the U.S. Constitution objectively rather than according to my self-interest and according to my political goal.

Don't want to be mistaken for one of those gays, but their questions and answers are just too damn good not to read.
