Instead of spending a small fortune on them, have them decide on a charity to donate the same amount to.
A local women and childrens shelter, the local childrens hospital.
Have them deliver the presents themselves, and they will see the gratitude of those who have next to nothing in this world.

I have 3 daughters also and I've always set a budget and the kids know that I won't go over that budget. But I buy them things during the year also not just Christmas and their birthdays. I buy them a small present on Valentines day, Easter in their baskets instead of a lot of candy I buy them small presents like jewelry or gift cards. So that way they aren't' looking to make a big haul at Christmas.

I hope you mean for next year, lol. I always liked getting bath stuff and pampering things. Those don't always cost as much. Stuff like a facial steamer, manicure set, etc. Helps them look nice in their designer stuff but doesn't cost as much. I saw the best thing the other night on Fashionably Late. She said liking designer things means you have good taste and the good taste can help you find things that are not as expensive but look just as good. So maybe a gift card, but not for as much as it would cost to buy a whole designer outfit. You could also look for accessories to go with what they have. Like the wallet, keychain, etc. to match a designer bag ??? I don't know I have always been low maintenace. I also don't expect my parents to break the bank buying me stuff.

designer clothes are too expensive, such as hollister, abercrombie, too expensive teach them that they don't need all those things to be beautiful, they can be beautiful and shop from the clearance rack, shopping at walmart, ross, or marshalls, value city.
try shopping at places like ross, value city, or marshalls...ect
Set a budget and stick to it...
TeAirr B: I don't believe in maxing out your credit card or spending all your money on presents, it is just one day of the year. That one day of the year could cost you thousands of dollars of debt!!! You have to shop responsibly and set a budget. You don't want to end up in trouble not being able to pay your bills....

i think you spoil your daughters. as a parent, u should know its not good to splurge on your children. no matter how rich you are! it was in the papers i think a year ago, this teenage boy was always spoiled by his parents and got everything he wanted...mostly cash...and one day, when his parents did not give him some amount of cash and let him drive the benz to vegas for his birthday party, he shot both of them while they were sleeping and drove the family car to vegas...and got caught there. and people thought him as a "nice" boy...oooo for sure. see? u never know what will happen. u gotta make those children value a dollar...and teach them about being thrifty instead of being spendthrifts...because that will make them better people and become rich! saving is earning. ;-) its much better to spend quality time with them rather them trying to compensate that by buying them stuff........

If you've taught them the materialistic viewpoint of Christmas over the years, I'm afraid they won't be pleased no matter what you do for them. All I can say is get them what you think will make them happy, but don't expect too much, that way you won't be as disappointed if they aren't.

TJ Maxx
Also you can tell them simply that, you want to teach them the meaning of Christmas is not getting things, and because you want to give them good morals, expensive items are limited.

Ohh come on. Its christmas. If you love your daughters , just buy them whatever they want. If you don't , they'll probably be pissed off like I would be.
