... what would your reaction be like? Something like: God just appears in front of you and does something undeniably God-like.

(If you're an atheist, just use your imagination ^_^)

My reaction would be either:

- Oh yeah! There is a God!

or

- Oh crap... There is a God! (I'm in sooo much trouble...)

Doing something undeniably God-like?
Which would be an undeniable proof of God's existence?
What kind of "something" are you suggesting?

I've seen too many Star Trek episodes where some people on some planets just think that humans are Gods just because they can transport in and out of thin air (in SCIFI world).

And even in the real world, think of ancient civilizations where some guys would be thought as Gods just because they were white and landed of their beach!

I think the whole point is to have faith which is that thing where you don't need proof, you just believe (mostly because you were indoctrinated by your parents...but that's beyond the point...).
Faith, with is that thing that do not need proof, is that thing which is there for people who need it.

I could just say I believe in myself and each time I look at a mirror...I see God...then my reaction would be...oh! here I am!

How would we know that this so-called "God like" person really is God and what kind of "God like" thing would he do to convince someone he was God. Because after watching David Blain, and Chriss Angel few things scare me. If someone just walks up to me out of the clear blue sky and says behold I am God I would be like yeah and so is the naked cowboy in New York City.

Gwen, I love your question. Personally, I have moved past doubts. I know, that I know, that I know...there is a God. Through His wonderful mercy, He has shown me miracles, signs and wonders.

As for unbelievers, He has shown them too, some just choose not to believe. God doesn't yell to get our attention, it is usually a still small voice. It is usually, a gentle whisper.

God reveals Himself in His creation. The wondrous sunrise or sunset...the majestic Rocky Mountains, rolling and crashing waves, the billions of snowflakes that are all different...I stand in awe of Him and what He has created...sometimes, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around it and just thank Him for His glory.

Peace, grace and blessings!

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!!!

Num 6:24-26
"The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace."' NKJV

I'd just be like, oh, alright, that's cool, so there really is a god. I'm not really atheist, but at the same time not catholic, and even if I met god, I doubt I'd convert.

I'd fall to the ground and worship Him. Since I know there is a God I'd be in awe. YOU, well I think you too would fall to the ground and pray you haven't waited too late.Unless someone is mentally ill and just didn't know what was going on, I think everyone would fall to the ground and pray, pray, pray.

If you are a true believer and one of His chosen people then He will do stuff like that a lot. I know someone who had Him come into their room and wake her up and take her around her house and talk with her. God is a mysterious Gd and he can and will do what he pleases to whom He pleases no matter what!!! I have even felt His presence a number of times and I was okay with that because I know who I am in Him and that is why I know what to expect from Him.

I'd say Hi how are you, or excuse me what are you? Don't think I'd be in trouble unless he was an evil vengeful Jehovah type, but no one could do much with that kind of guy, I mean you might be Christian but the wrong flavour!! Oops!! Sorry God, you only like Gay Mormons, Oh ****!!

Something like that happened to me when I was 18. I wanted to kill myself in despair over a horror show childhood. I was abused for years and no one lifted one finger to help me. I called a Crisis Line and spent 2 hours talking to a stranger who was so kind to me. She got me in touch with a group of young Christians and I went to some meetings they had.

The undeniable proof of God's existense appeared in front of me in the eyes and caring concern of these people who didn't know me, but who accepted me and took me in, so to speak. Strangers who treated me better than anyone in my family. They all had become Christians and found their lives were changing. After a while, one special night, I found God communicating with me, in my thoughts. It was somewhat eerie. I understood Him to be asking for permission to come into my life and lovingly run it for me - since I was failing my own life badly. I knew I had a choice. I chose to respond to God that night. I'd seen Him changing other people, now He asked me to let Him change me. I am so very glad I said yes to God, so very glad!!!

The second undeniable proof of God's existence came into my family. I told my mom that I had become a Christian. She said, "Well Good, you sure needed something!" and blew smoke in my face and walked away! BUT, three weeks later, she came to me and told me she had asked Jesus to come into her life the night before. Then she began to change, right in front of my eyes - the hate, bitterness, cursing, all began to go away, she became kind and friendly! Our family dynamics changed and got so much better.

I have known God now, for 37 years and He is the best thing that ever happened to me - above marriage and my children, even. So, here's the deal. There is a God and He doesn't want to come to you in anger, He wants to love you and deal with anything in your life that holds you back from knowing him. So, take the leap of faith, ask Him in. You will never be sorry you did. He will see you through all tough times!

I would need someone else to see it for verification, so that i know I am not going insane. People who hear voices get locked up unless they claim that voice to be God.

I would be upset that he didn't do this when I was 10, that he doesn't do it more often. If you want rational people to believe, SHOW YOURSELF!!!!!!!!
