For me it is that my co-worker (a Pastor's daughter) and my boss (whose daughter is a regional director for Campus Crusade for Christ) have no idea I'm an Atheist. I don't hide it but...it's just never come up in conversation. I don't chime in a lot when they talk about prayer but then...to announce "I think that's all bunk!" would be rude.

What would surprise people on here about you?

I'm looking for some good books on Wicca. I've looked through a lot of book lists, but most seem to be instruction on how to be a Wiccan. I'm looking for something that is more about what is a Wiccan, the beliefs and philosophies, the history, etc.

Can anyone suggest some books or online information that they used and found helpful when they first became interested in Wicca? Thanks for any help. :)

Did you completely change the way you see things--360 change?

Did you grow stronger and more knowledgable in faith? Or completely loose faith?

Or did you just stop doing stupid things because you learned better, regardless of belief? (that is, if you have stopped doing stupid things)

why does the mere fact of have been given life from my father and mother also give me a soul that I now have to defend for an eternity. Did I exist even as a soul before I was born?

You keep saying with your lips "no, no! Sex is fine in the confines of marriage..." but this is the third question today where "sex is a sin!!" http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071218213008AAfBYbP&r=w&pa=FZptHWf.BGRX3OFMiDxVVIrtaD5EP0OfVGjaAz1ANpO5LIU4_A--&paid=answered#O64sK3H_WGkHME7Id8jO And not only did the guy say it, but the 7 christians who answered above me, just let it slide.

So I have to ask, "is sex a sin"? Be honest.

I just answered a question about free will, and how can God only give 2 choices- heaven or hell. And why cannot we opt out of those choices? Just had an interesting thought- why not be pro-choice about this? And select the right choice- eternal forgiveness and life in Christ. PLEASE do not report this as not a question= it is

http://www.bible.ca/islam/islam-moon-god.htm
Moon worship has been practiced in Arabia since 2000 BC. The crescent moon is the most common symbol of this pagan moon worship as far back as 2000 BC.
In Mecca, there was a god named Hubal who was Lord of the Kabah.
This Hubal was a moon god.
One Muslim apologist confessed that the idol of moon god Hubal was placed upon the roof of the Kaba about 400 years before Muhammad. This may in fact be the origin of why the crescent moon is on top of every minaret at the Kaba today and the central symbol of Islam atop of every mosque throughout the world:
About four hundred years before the birth of Muhammad one Amr bin Lahyo ... a descendant of Qahtan and king of Hijaz, had put an idol called Hubal on the roof of the Kaba. This was one of the chief deities of the Quraish before Islam. (Muhammad The Holy Prophet, Hafiz Ghulam Sarwar (Pakistan), p 18-19, Muslim)

People always kill, steal, and have sex. God doesn't want us to do that but yet we don't listen. We constantly say "OMG" when it sayd in the 10 commandments not to use His name in vain. Why do we not just go to church and learn more about Him?

Leviticus 26:22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children
Levitcus 26:29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
2 Kings 2:23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
2 Kings 2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
Matthew 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death

Remember the game show Let's Make a Deal?

You NEVER KNEW what was behind the doors. It could be a new car, or 200 cans of cat food. Monte Hall always gave you the option... keep what you have, or trade for one of the doors. You were not coerced. The choice was entirely your own.

Now here is your god's "free will"...

God INFORMS YOU that behind door #1 is a great prize (heaven), and behind door number #2 is eternal torment (hell.) He SUGGESTS you choose door number one, but you are given the option to choose door number 2 (if you prefer burning.) You can opt to not choose either door, but ONLY TEMPORARILY, because when you leave the studio (die) you'll be forced to accept door #2.

This isn't free will, it's COERCION. The only options you're given are eternal pleasure, or eternal pain, unlike Let's Make a Deal, where you can just "opt out" and keep what you have.

Once you are aware god's "game" exists, you don't have the option to not play, even if you never wanted to know about it.

It's for a project for my Exploring the Christian Faith class. I'm not looking for any specific answers, I just want to hear people's opinions....

(1) So what do you think of Jesus Christ?

(2) How long have you held this position?

(3) What do you feel are the most important reasons for holding this belief?

And if you could sdd your age, that would be great!

Thanks!
