Catholics believe that salvation is entirely dependent on Jesus and He will save whomever He wishes to save. A person, therefore, can be of any religion. We leave it to God.
Some non-Catholic Christians agree with this, but many do not. There are some who believe that you have to follow some set formula to be saved and then you're saved no matter what - even if you turn into another Hitler after that.

I have been taught that you should not answer a question with a question so I can not answer "Why not"? so let me try to form this into a statement or comment.
Christians/Catholics and Christians of other denominations believe that all Christians, will get into heaven.
First of all Christians are non-denominational.
Christians are not Christians unless they are Christian.
Repentant Sinners that have been converted to Christianity
Catholics living a Christian Life that glorifies GOD,
Protestants living a Christian life that glorifies GOD,
Anyone that has accepted Christ into their lives, are Christian
Do High School Graduates/Students believe that high school Graduates of other schools will also get into college?
In order to be able to understand Christianity you have to be Christian.

Matt. 7:21 says "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 18:3 says "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." This shows that there will be qualifications required to enter the kingdom of heaven. So the answer is yes. Anyone who believes the Bible would answer the same. The bigger question is, are you 100% certain the religion you align with has what is required to grant access to the kingdom of heaven.

This is what they are saying now, in response to YOUR question, but in observing this forum, I hear the complete opposite--there are tons of people who insist that other denominations are wrong and will not be accepted into the kingdom of heaven. There are plenty of hurtful fights over this. Where are those people now?

Absolutely. There are many denominations, none are 100% correct, but correct to the believer, this is why we are all Brothers and Sisters in The Lord.

Only Jesus can save you.
We are saved by His Gospel.
No denomination can save anyone.
Jesus says "Come to me" (Mat 11:28)
"I am the way and the truth and the life" (John 14:6)

No.
The Catholic Church teaches:
Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.
Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.
All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

God is the Judge, not us. If HE judges that a person has not rejected Him, even if they not be part of the Visible Church which He built, they MAY be saved - IF He so judges them.
That would be the Catholic stance, but I don't believe there are many others which would disagree with that.

Well, I believe anyone who sincerely believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, who died upon the cross and rose to live again in order to redeem us before a Holy God is a Christian.
The demonination with whose doctrines you most closely identify is secondary and for personal comfort and acceptance.
