...we had not aborted the estimated 25 to 40 million children during the time that abortion has been legal? Those were people who could be in the workforce right now, contributing to the gross domestic product, and having babies of their own....

You ask if a good God exists, why is there evil in the world?

God is dealing with the problem of evil, in a progressive way. He is dealing with the problem of evil throughout all human history. When Christ died on the cross he punished evil for all time and gave us a way to have victory over the evil in our own hearts. One day in the future, Christ will return, strip power away from the wicked, and hold all men and women accountable for the things they did during their time on earth. Justice will ultimately prevail. Those who enter eternity without having trusted in Christ for salvation will understand just how effectively God has dealt with the problem of evil.

So my question is do you have a better solution? There are the following constraints:
Your solution must not (1) destroy human freedom, or (2) cause God to violate His nature (e.g., His attributes of absolute holiness, justice, and mercy) in some way.

Recently I have seen two girls smoking in a cafe. I liked the site. If we think positively, it demonstrates their courage and confidence to defy the societies norms.

Of course, in general smoking is not good for self and society that is a different matter altogther.

Agnostics claim either that it is not possible to have absolute or certain knowledge of the existence or nonexistence of God or gods; or, alternatively, that while individual certainty may be possible, they personally have no knowledge.

Putting your personal faith or beliefs aside; when you spend the time to answer a question, coming to the defense of someone who is being ridiculed, taking the time to carefully word your response, checking your punctuation and grammar, finally satisified that it is the best you can make it,hitting the submit button, only to discover the question has been deleted?

"And because they thought it was worthless to acknowledge God, God allowed their own immoral minds to control them. So they do these indecent things:

Their lives are filled with all kinds of sexual sins, wickedness, and greed. They are mean. They are filled with envy, murder, quarreling, deceit, and viciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, haughty, arrogant, and boastful.

They think up new ways to be cruel. They don't obey their parents, don't have any sense, don't keep promises, and don't show love to their own families or mercy to others."
- Romans 1:28-31

I'm officially 26, it happened at 1:33am. I won't be celebrating until this weekend. But honestly, what's to celebrate. It only means that I'm that much closer to 30 and still haven't met the right guy. I've gone on dates, but really the selection in this town isn't the greatest. The guys that are attractive, turn out to be completely full of themselves and I really cant stand that. Either that or they are lazy and expect to find someone that is going to take care of them. And I can't have a man that isn't willing to take care of himself.

::Side note:: One of my favorite classic movies is on! An Affair To Remember. Anyway, my question is..... Actually it's non-existant. I have no question, I just wanted to vent and no one I talk to is online right now so I figured why not do it in Y!Answers. It seemed like as good a place as any. I would however like stars ;) It is, after all, my birthday and I'm lonely.

I was behind a grey-haired man in a fishing hat, driving an old, out-of-state shortbed with home-made side rails, loaded with this and that. He had two bumper stickers. One said something about Ashcroft, the other said, A Thousand Points of Light, and We Get Stuck with the Dim Bulb.

I understand it is somewhat an obligation, but people answer my questions by just dipping their hands into what the Bible offers. The only proof the Bible has as being absolute truth is in the words of the Bible itself and only other Christian interpretations afterwards. Also, why do people--who have also considered themselves atheists--answer questions so sarcastically and not actually think about the question? Are people really this ignorant?

Christians claim that unborn babies will be sent to God as they are not old enough to make a moral decision. But in that case, it means that they have entered heaven without first accepting Jesus! How is that justifiable? You hear Christians stress all day long how crucial it is to accpet Jesus as your saviour, but then it's suddenly ok for unborn babies to get a free pass?

Christians say that you must accept Jesus first in order to be saved, otherwise who knows if you'll rebel against Jesus once you've entered heaven. They claim that, once when you've already accepted Jesus, you will not betray Him for sure. But since unborn babies never accepted Jesus before entering heaven, they might betray Jesus anytime once they've entered! How do you justify that?

first of all, who here is Hndu or knows da deep meaning behind Hnduism? i c a lotta christian questions n one said sumthin about if god existed than how come shyt happnd before him n stuff like dat. da first mainstream way of life in da world way before jesus time was Hnduism its da oldest belief system dat still exists today, 3rd most popular religion too. Hnduism is more of a way of life, not a religion. its a real spiritual philosophy. the Vedas is one of da first books out there, no man created Hnduism. theres more than one way to approach Hnduism. we dont believe there is 'one universal truth, many ways to approach dat truth' there is no right way to truth. our belief in god is Brahman, everything about da universe, in it, who created it, everone got da same soul just different bodies. i just wana give sumthin for ppl to think about cuz every question on here is about christians jews n atheists. theres way more beliefs than those 3.
