Actually, mine all think I've mellowed...which I have. Between trying to raise them (5 boys, 3 of them step-sons and all close to each other in age)...and dealing with my whacked-out hormones and the beginnings of Fibro'...there were times even I didn't want to be around myself!

I'm much more laid-back and tolerant these days...thankfully!

No, actually the older I get the less I "sweat the small stuff". I just try to enjoy every day and not get too uptight about the little things that in the end really are not so important. I find myself much more tolerant of others differences and flaws as I've gotten older.
My best friend Joyce called me last night though and laughed because she said that she was "becoming the neighborhood crank". ( she's in her 50's)Not sure that's really true but the kids in her neighborhood do drive her to her wits end at times.

No, not really. He knows we're not getting any younger, and he almost lost his Dad to a heart attach, I think it has wised him up, that one day he could be alone.
My youngest son called last night and told me he would like to come back home. I guess he finally figured out that toilet paper and soap don't just grow on trees. Neither does money. I miss him terribly.
I think he also figured out that people will take advantage of him, if he doesn't stand his ground.
His Father offered to send him to get his Insurance Adjusters License, so he can make a decent living. That would be his Christmas present, an all expense paid education

No Way. I'm not tolerant I just don't care,
Kids have grown up OK and anyway why worry, its their life and the grand kids can do as they like as long as I don't have to keep them.
Just smile fondly and wave them bye bye at the end of the day. tra la

The older kids think the younger kids have it made. The younger kids tell him whenever I call them down about anything that I am overreacting, having a mood swing and all the other psycho-babble.

Our daughters think my husband I are fun to be with and so do their friends. We do lots of different things in our home such as Sunday dinners, all holidays here, and next week we will have 18 people here to make tamales (First time) Aye, ya, ya.

It has to be age.

It also could be menopause and I never get a good night sleep ....I wake up two or three times a night because of HOT Flashes.....

I am more tolerant and have learned to stress less over things as I have aged. I certainly have gained patience and don't sweat the small stuff anymore. My children have told me this and I feel it to be true. ♥

I have to admit myself, that as I age I have less patients. But my kids have not claimed that yet. I think as we get older we just become more set in our ways.
