Hello,

I'm having problems translating the following Latin and would appreciate help:

"Magnus ventus navigia Troiana ad terram Harpyiarum* iecit. Celaeno* etiam Italiam "Novam Troiam" vocavit. Ad (near) Actium Helenus*, filius regis (king, gen. sing.) Priami*, habitabat. Helenus erat augur* et dixit, "Vestra terra est Ausonia*. Sed primum circum Siciliam navigate et tum ad Cumam procedite. In illa (that) terra suem (pig) albam *** triginta (30) porcellis (piglets) invenietis. Ibi erit vestra Nova Troia."

It's part of a two-part translation--First half was easy and now I'm confused. Thank you in advance <3

If today, God asks you to kill your son, and you do; do you think the court system will believe you and forgive you and let you go?

So why did God ask Abraham to kill Isaac and why was God not arrested for Conspiracy to Murder

I looked at something very disturbing, yes it was much worst than 2girls1cup. I am not going to say what it is because it's just too disturbing, and i need to get it out of my head. How do i get it out of my head?

And if you're really curious about what it is, i am not going to tell you. Telling you what i saw is just...I can't explain it, it will make you shake for the rest of your life, yes i am shaking right now, i just can't believe i saw that.

How would i get my mind off of something i saw that's very disturbing?

And if you are really curious, just email me and i might tell you, maybe having more people know about it will relieve myself?

To be Really Politically Correct?

One where people like me who respect Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, hindus, and yes, even polite atheists can vote rude people off the island?

just imagine a world where people with honest questions and thoughtful answers could go---where a thumbs-down actually meant something. People with rants and mocking responses would eventually not be allowed into the room as they accumulate thumbs down time and time again---maybe some people at the higher levels, 5-7, would have more weight.

Let's save the island by voting jerks off of it! Amen?

I just don't understand the way you thank, your beliefs. What do you thank will happen when you take that last breath or even last hug from you love ones? Most atheist were christian. What do you believe? Why do you believe it? Do you know? Do you think for yourself, or do you simply accept what others say? Some part in your life you had to make a decision to not believe or never believe in the first place. Maybe you mother or father naver believe and it was past down to you or maybe someone convince you or you just lost faith. Why? What is your story?

First off, some books of the NT had not yet been written when John wrote the book of Revelation, and even those that had been written and were in existence at that time had not yet been gathered into one compilation.

Secondly, the warning uses the words “the prophecy of this book” and also “the words of the book of this prophecy.” The word book in both instances is singular.

Thirdly, it is also interesting to note that John himself added to scripture after writing the book of Rev., which is generally conceded to have been written while he was on the Isle of Patmos. It was long after John left Patmos that he wrote his first epistle.

Fourthly, in the OT also are found similar vigorous denunciations and commands that there shall not be added to the words that were written. (See Deut. 4:2. and Deut. 12:32). If the same interpretation and argument was applied to them as is applied to the closing verses of the book of Revelation, there would be no scriptures after the writings of Moses.

There are NO evolutionists.Belief is not required in the knowledge of facts. You either accept facts or don't.
When you address questions to people that accept facts you can simply address them as "people".The only ones that require a label are those that don't accept the facts. In future can you please use the term "non-deniers of reality".

Because I am Catholic, I want to start reading the bible and start understanding the history.

But I am so utterly confused as to what I should purchase. After running a couple of google searches, I realized that there are so many different kinds, that I couldn't just take one and read.

Sheesh, talk about confusing!

So my question is...why so many bibles, under one single denomination, and why not just one?

And...

Which one am I suppose to get? Or should get?

I ask those who have prayed and seen anything close to miraculous of releasing evil from any person who causes harm/and then were fortunate and blessed w/results of the Holy Spirit {Universal Spirit of Love}.
I {well we actually} need a miracle for Christmas.

If anyone chooses to joke w/my question, if u knew what all happened to my family throughout the yrs. you'd refrain from posting anything other than supportive.
Thanks to those who are generous w/positive posts :o)
