The nickname Mormon was created by people who were not members of the Church to refer to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The name comes from the sacred book of scripture compiled by the ancient prophet Mormon and entitled the Book of Mormon. The name given by the Lord by which members of the Church are to be known is “Saints.” The correct name of the Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A Mormon is a religion. They believe in God but they also have some very interesting "off the wall" beliefs too. things that are a little hard for most people to handle. Just like all religions you have your offshoots, your fundamentalists who are very strict and follow a different course in life. Mormonism is a pacifistic, peaceful and family orientated way of life for the most part. Ask your friend and let him tell you about his religion. It is part of his beliefs that he should share with you.

A "morman" is someone who has more of anything than you do. A "moreman" has even more than the "morman." The "morman" and the "moreman" believe that more is always better than less. You should have asked your mate. This is what he would have told you.

It's "mormon".
Mormons are members of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Mormons study the book of mormon which was written by a prophet of the same name. Mormonism shares the most in common with Christianity though there are similiarities with other religions.

They are a religion or cult who worship Joseph Smith and they do not worship Jesus Christ as we Christians do. Their Jesus is the brother of Satan so that makes there Jesus a different Jesus. Also they have many strange ideas and have a book called the book of Mormon that is more important then the bible which they obey and get answers from. There beliefs contradict the bible in almost all there doctrines.

A person who believes the teachings of a man named Joseph Smith, who got his message from a being named Moroni. He mixed in some Masonic symbology and rituals, along with his ill begotten book of Mormon and wa la you have mormonism.
The mormons are nice people, they have some good morals, but the undercurrent that not all of them know about is evil.
