The site is called "Yahoo ANSWERS," correct?

It seems that the "xians" really can't win here. If they answer, they get ridiculed; but if they didn't answer, they'd still get ridiculed.

If you're not looking for answers, why ask questions here? And why fault people for taking a stab at answering? Answering a question doesn't necessarily mean that you claim to have the absolute truth; it can just mean that you are giving your opinion concerning what seems most reasonable to you. What's so peculiar about that?

Speaking as a Christian, here are some questions that I cannot answer:

- what lies beyond the edge of the known universe?
- what do angels do for fun?
- how many atheists can dance on the head of a pin?
- when is Christ coming back?

Any of those questions would get a hearty "I don't know" from me.

I can only speak for myself; so far, the attacks about scripture questions and supposed stumpers are pretty easy to answer for people who go to church and have listened to hundreds of sermons. Priests spend lots of time writing their sermons and will often take the time to explain what was going on at the time and what the early Christians were going through. The Bible is a collection of books written by many people and put together as a chronicle of the Church. Most non-Christians and non-church goers seem to think the Bible has been written by one person and expect it to be read as an ordinary book; Chapter 1, chapter 2, etc. That's why when 2 verses seem to contradict each other, they see that as "proof" that the Bible is wrong. And, when you tell them they're taking something out of context, they become angry.

You want to know something Christians don't know? When Jesus will return.

We trust the Lord and have a copy of His "Answers Manual" . And yes, we are a peculiar people (I forget where that verse is). Having said that, there are lots of things I (we) don't know, but as someone else pointed out, we don't answer the questions we're not sure about.

Perhaps you're not looking in the right place for the answers. I've found all my answers in the King James Version of the Bible. But you just keep on walking around that same old mountain. Maybe one day you'll find your answers?

I constantly attempt to point out that the 2d exchange to the US shape is there to furnish the inhabitants with a sensible approach of overthrowing a central authority that has grow to be tyrannical. it fairly is a actuality that the two aspects tend to ignore approximately to a extensive quantity. With that stated, a glance on the internet website for the Brady campaign will additionally tutor some important loss of actuality used via the gun administration crowd. first of all, they attempt to apply the numbers of firearms in possession of voters as a important rationalization for loss of existence and harm. They thoroughly decrease cost the human element. a individual bent on homicide will come across a manner! in between the "actuality sheets" they say that: "In 2002 suicide via all potential took the lives of 31,655 human beings interior america: Of this extensive form, fifty 4% (17,108) have been executed making use of a firearm." In essence, they are arguing that those suicidal human beings does no longer have devoted suicide if a gun had no longer been available. no longer authentic! A suicidal individual, somewhat suicidal, will locate the thank you to do it. In yet another "actuality sheet" the Brady campaign takes super soreness to point out that the violence between African human beings advantageous factors a extensive volume of firearm use. they are maximum marvelous, there are a number of weapons getting used while some participants of the African American community dedicate violence against others. of direction they thoroughly ignore with regard to the reality that the cases of highway gang interest, drug use and working, prostitution, theft, and in basic terms straight forward homicide is statistically larger in that community and that many of the weapons in use have been gained illegally! lower back, if a individual of any colour or ethnic historic past is bent on committing a criminal offense, they are going to come across a manner! So, you spot that their important approach of putting their arguments forward is via a twisting of the reality. they simply take the records that tutor technique then argue that via removing the approach, you will get rid of the opportunity of the crime.

Because most of the questions on here are kiddie level?

Ask a serious theological question and wait for the question to disappear due to lack of answers.

And how few of the "Contributors" ever provide any kind of source or reference to back up their so-called answers?
