Leviticus 26:22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children
Levitcus 26:29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
2 Kings 2:23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
2 Kings 2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
Matthew 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death
Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death

And not only that, but probably the worst fate of all... Jehovah's Witness kids can't celebrate birthdays or holidays like normal kids. I'd rather be eaten!

Right ON Myro! Dude, seriously, the way that you teach, talk about and use the Bible is amazing! I totally get what your saying and I thank you for putting this question up. I use to think that the God of the OT was mean and cruel and that Jesus in the NT was much more nicer, until I discovered the truth about God and Jesus. I have read your entire posting, at first I thought you were gonna start ranting (not like you) but while reading I could feel the sincerity in your question and I read the responses you gave to certain peoples questions (I also looked up the scriptures, I keep my Bible by my computer now) and I can't begin to tell you how happy I am since coming to learn the learn the truth. I now know how much Jehovah loves me. Before learning the truth I couldn't think of anyone let alone God actualy loving me because of all that I have done. Not anymore though, I know that I am valuable, that I have worth and I know it because God says so and sent Jesus to die for me. God doesn't make no junk but sometimes the beautiful things that God makes are used for junk, but that's not what he made it for. The more I learn from God's people the more I begin to understand just how friggin awsome you and the other worshipers of Jehovah are. It is my hope to someday be able to join you guys in serving God and taking the message to the people. When I read some people's answers showing that they think God Almighty Jehovah actually burns people in fire forever, I just shook my head. Keep on bringing the message Myro! As you know, it was because of people like you and many other witnesses on Yahoo Answers that I am were I am today. I can't begin to thank all of you witnesses enough for not giving up and leaving this site because of all the negative BS you encounter. I was almost at the point of suicide when I reached out to you guys on this website, if you hadn't have been here, I would be dead right now. See, you guys have me crying over here (brb). Okay I'm back. Sorry. I am just so happy to know what I know and I am thrilled about learning even more. Tonight is the ministry school and I can't wait! I never thought that I would ever say this, but the truth is actually better than sex and those who know about me KNOW that that is a huge statement for me to make. To all of Jehovah's Witnesses, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for doing what you do and being who you are. Myro, thanks for posting this question man. Dude, your wife is so lucky to be with you.

Actually it is just the opposite, God loves children. These versus should not be considered alone but as a reference. Example: Revelation 2:23 - God is not killing a women's children per-say. John is telling of what God will do to each of the Church's in the end times. He is talking about the Church of Thyatira - the children would be the people that followed the believes of that church.
The verse in Matthew would cover everyone that has a mother or father - not just children.
2 Kings is in reference to Elisha and Elijah - and it was Elisha which cursed the boys for mocking him.
Leviticus is telling us that we should follow the Lord, and if not there will be a price to pay.
Here are a few of the beautiful versus from the Lord:
Psalm 127:3 - "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward."
This passge is telling us that children are a gift from the Lord and that "Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them" (verse 5).
Matthew 18:2-4 - "Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them. and said, "Assuredly I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of Heaven. Therefore whoever humles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven."
The Lord wants us to be like little children because they have the ability to believe without fault. It's great that you are studying the Bible, keep it up - read...and pray. The Lord will show you the way!

You only have half the story. He is not talking about killing our children. He is talking about the no-believers.
The Bible says that we must have the faith of a child to be saved. And here are two places you can find children spoken of kindly.
Mark 10:24
Romans 8:16-17
Over all I think you might want to reread the Bible.

You wrote 'I believe this shows how horrible that Christianity truely is.'
Ok , fair comment.--NOW ..lets look at the facts.
Re -Leviticus 26:22 , your translation isn't quite correct in its rendering , but we wont go into that rite now.
Verse 21 gives the reason why this people offspring would perish.
Leviticus 26:21 ". . .'But if YOU keep walking in opposition to me and not wishing to listen to me, I shall then have to inflict seven times more blows upon YOU according to YOUR sins. . ."
What this is saying , is disobedience brings consequences.
Only wicked people need to fear the consequences of God.
So - DON'T BE BAD:
Re -Leviticus 26:29 , same thing again ,. don't work against Jehovah , instead follow his righteous commandments.
Leviticus 26:27-28 ". . .If, however, with this YOU will not listen to me and YOU just must walk in opposition to me, I shall then have to walk in heated opposition to YOU, . . ."
This again poses no problem for righteous followers of God.
So - DON'T BE BAD:
Re -2 Kings 2:23,24 In these times a person wasn't classed as being and adult until their 30's , so these children referred to here , maybe what we now would call adults.
Never the less , these younger individuals in full knowledge of their actions insulted and mocked the spirit anointed class of people that Jehovah God provided.
This was a disgusting thing to do ,it showed a deep lack of respect for Gods arrangement for his people. These wicked people did not deserve to live, so a swift execution by wild animals was arranged.
This is justice.
The moral of the story , DON'T BE BAD , and disrespect what God has arranged for his people.
Re -Matthew 15:4 -Oh , I'me surprised that you missed---
Exodus 21:17 ""And one who calls down evil upon his father and his mother is to be put to death without fail."
The family arrangement is made by God and the various positions in the family must be respected.
Showing lack of respect for ones mother or father , displays a total lack of respect for what Jehovah God has made.
The advice then --DON'T BE BAD , instead respect and value what Jehovah has made for us.
Re -Revelation 2:23 This verse is symbolic and doesn't mean literal children.
Revelation 2:20-23 "'Nevertheless, I do hold [this] against you, that you tolerate that woman Jez´e·bel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and misleads my slaves to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her fornication. Look! I am about to throw her into a sickbed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds. And her children I will kill with deadly plague, so that all the congregations will know that I am he who searches the kidneys and hearts, and I will give to YOU individually according to YOUR deeds."
The children referred to are the followers of religions that teach religious lies.
Many leaders of Christendom imitate Jezebel in tolerating in their congregations active homosexuality, fornication, adultery, abortion, and similar things condemned by God.
These are ideas that will lead to a Christians death.
The advice then is , DON'T BE BAD , and don't follow religious lies that lead to a corrupted mentality , where bad things sound good., and good things sound bad.
Thanks for bringing up these great scriptures , they tell us a good list of what is and what is not acceptable conduct for true Christians today.

Where did you get these ideas. Please stop reading the Bible. It only appears to confuse you. One cannot take all that is said literally and out of context. Peace
