Not from the Christians, they haven't. The secular Christmas and the Christian Christmas are two different celebrations.....Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus,,,not Santa Claus and his reindeer...most of the Christmas trappings you see in stores have little to do with the Christian Christmas.....We do share gifts with one another but it is a reminder of the gifts the Christ Child received,,,we always have this in mind,,,,,giving is a loving gesture if you keep in mind, why we do it this time of year......we also have a big Dinner on Christmas Day, and that too is a family get together....

Christmas for Christians is all about the birth of Jesus and bringing our family together....We don't attend secular parties,,we may go to a special presentation at church,,,especially with children, doing their best to act out the birth of Jesus...really cute...or we may find a living Christmas tree somewhere and go and listen to the lovely songs about Jesus...Oh, Holy Night,,,,,Mary, did you know.....Oh come all ye faithful...Hark, the Herald Angels sing.....beautiful...

Santa is not evil. He's a giver. People give him more power than he's intended to have - in fact, he's not intended to have any. He's simply a fun addition to the Christmas Season.
The only way Santa or anything else can take the place of Jesus being the main focus of Christmas is if you let it be that way.

Jesus is the reason for the season in my home and with my family. The central focus of the entire holiday season is His birth which brought the hope of salvation to all mankind. We also had visits from Santa when my daughter was younger. She knows now that Santa was really me. No confusion, no distrust and she still wholeheartedly believes in and loves Jesus. Her hearts fondest desire is that she hurries up and becomes old enough to go on Mission Trips with members of our church to help build churches and other necessary dwellings/structures and spread the love of Jesus in destitute places.

Popular culture, big business, and the media have tried to hujack the true meaning of Christmas for hundreds of years but they have not succeeded yet.

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, God the Son.

The angel said to them,

"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."

And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:

"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."

(Luke 2:10-14)

With love in Christ.

Not for us (besides, we like Santa) = we have the original meaning of the holiday - Yule

Decorations * a tree inside the house * candles lit all night (or lights) * exchanging gifts * mistletoe * toasting each other * feasting * gathering family together * burning a Yule log * celebrating a savior's birthday on the 25th. Celebrating 12 days and nights. We love our heathen traditions.

I think Evangelical Christians, urged on by the Roman stealing of Christianity for political rasons, have stolen the True meaning. At least hidden it behind so many layers of lies that it is seldom recognized.

Santa, or at least the True shamanic meaning of Santa Claus, has been ripped up and tossed out. This is just as wrong as what has happened to Christmas. And it was the "Christians" who did it. Repeated stole, hide, and lied about religions other than itself.

Enjoy winter, Summer is coming.

Whats the true meaning of Christmas? That Christians stole pagan traditions pre dating their own? Isn't that what the holidays is really all about?

Santa is Christmas....not some god that needs blood to wash sins......Christianity is a blood cult and has nothing to do with Christmas.
