I've tried to be a Christian, but the knowledge I've acquired during my lifetime does not allow me to actually believe that Christian theology is anything more than another of the many religions used to guide peoples thoughts and actions. I don't believe that Jesus was a real person. I don't believe that any of the gods, much less the one spelled with a capital g, actually exist. I just can't find any reason to actually believe the story, but I have plenty of reasons to believe it is just a story.

So, my question to believers is this, would Jesus still let me into Heaven if I spent my life pretending that I believe he's more real than any of the other gods, even though I really don't believe he existed at all? Does the bible say anything about this?

Was man not given the right (free will) to chose to "sin" or not? Homosexual unions hurt no one, so why do you want to take away people's "God given" right of free will? Of course it is understandable that things like murder, theft etc should be persecuted by the judicial system because they are harmful to society. The union of two men or two women hurts no one. Why would you lobby to ban same sex marriage yet do nothing about peoples right to work on Sundays, for an example which is a hell worthy trespass and punishable by death (according to the bible)? Do you think God would revoke someones free will or give people the free will to decide to "sin" or not?

He lives in Texas, and I don't get to see him all that often, so, I don't really have a good idea of what he's into. His mother only tells me what she WANTS him to like, not what he actually likes. I thought a gift card to Barnes & Noble would be OK so he can get a book (he likes to read) or a CD of his choice - is that too impersonal? I really hate to give him a 'generic' gift, but if I get him something he will think is really 'cool' I run the risk of my sister not letting him have it (she is Uber Strict).

last year i made this huge christmas sticking for my boyfriend to put all of his gifts in. and this year im having a hard time comming up with some things to put in his stocking. he likes xbox...any good games? last year i put in his stocking, a moxie java card, four movies, candy, an outfit (pants,belt,sweatshirt), and a keyfinder cause he always loses his keys. Would this be considered blasphemous

Me and some friends were talking about family guy and I mentioned and laughed at the bit where Peter Griffin says "Christmas is the time when the spirit of Jesus rises from the dead and tries to eat the flesh of the living, and we sing a lullaby to put him back to sleep"

This quote is obviously blasphemous but when I mentioned it I actually knew it was a joke and wasn't saying it seriously and was merely repeating it , still in the eyes of God am I a blasphemer?

I just want to know-Why do we as Black people always fight eachother?

We have enough problems as a people but then we try to make eachother feel bad.

Why can't we learn to just stick together and help eachother out? We can help eachother to succeed but some people like to tear others down.

It is strange how other culture are towards eachother and we arent that way. Like for instance, some cultures will live in the same house and they will all work and contribute to the success of one another. I am not saying this is always true but I have seen this more than once.

And I grew up in a household that was so negative and destructive. And when I ask a question on here it seems like the same people with so much anger and negativity.

Please dont blast me with racism accusations because I am asking a valid question.

i haven't had a boyfriend in a while. and im getting. well lonely.

Every little kid thinks that there are monsters under the bed and that hiding under the covers helps. Where could this superstition come from, T.V. is likely, but this superstition even continues to countries where they don't watch much T.V.
