I am not Catholic, but recently saw a Christmas program at a Catholic church where children held fishing poles with golden fish on the line over the baby Jesus in the nativity. I don't understand why this was done. This church is composed of a largely Hispanic population so I don't if it has a culture significance that I am not aware of.

I like a boy who is Chritain and his girlfriend is Jewish. The both of them are very religious. Do you think they will end up breaking up over a religious arguement. Do you think they will lat a long time ?

I have a question about God and forgiveness. Here's a scenario:

Jeffrey Dahmer, a serial killer who murdered and cannibalized 17 people, found God and became a Christian while he was in prison. Supposedly, Jeffrey Dahmer sincerely repented. Accordingly, he was forgiven by God for murdering and cannibalizing 17 people.

So if Jeffrey Dahmer were still alive, and a journalist interviewed him and asked, "Did you murder and eat those 17 people?" and Jeffrey Dahmer replied back: "No, I didn't. I've never murdered or eaten anyone." Would he be telling the truth to the journalist, because he had God's forgiveness? or is he lying, despite being forgiven by God?

What words of wisdom would you like to impart to the mindless masses?
The most important words you ever spoke to anyone.
You have precious little time to tell them what you think is important.
What do you say?

Home come so many people from the Christian denomination religions always answer my questions, like that, avoiding my real question? Or pick on my spelling or grammar instead?

Not all Christians do that, thankfully, and attempt my questions succesfully - however, a fair few Christian contributors on R&S do always re-use the same answers.

While Atheists, Agnostics and many people from other religions attempt to answer it successfully (and usually in a unbiased way)?

Is it because many Christians do not know the answer?

Or are just not willing to answer the question as the know the truth, but yet are not willing to admit it and are just trying to live out the remainder of their life sheltered before a book that supposedly contains the words of God?

They make out like the Bible has all the answers to my questions.

It does not.

I have read it thoroughly and it provides more questions than answers.

a neighbour of my parents died a couple of weeks ago. He was still working and only in his early 60's. He left a wife and grown up sonwho lives away from home. I live with in walking distance and I knew them enough over the past 10 years to stop and chat. He and his wife and son have always been friendly to me, but I'm not close to them, as in good friends. Should I send a christmeas card this year? Would you?

Peta is so f***king overrated. I'm sick of peta. They're trying to get everybody to go vegetarian so that world will end sooner. If we were all freaking vegetarian NO one would be in the olympics because they'd all be twigs. Meat makes everything better. For example, football. Football is great. Lol. Plus, all the animals would be overpopulated equaling less crops because the animals are grazing. Is anybody else sick of this crap to?
